Yas Theme Parks achieve IBCCES Certified Autism Center designation

Abu Dhabi, UAE – The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) proudly announces that Yas Island's theme parks and attractions, operated by Miral Experiences, a subsidiary of Miral, have been awarded the prestigious Certified Autism Center™️ (CAC) designation. The attractions receiving this accreditation include Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World™ Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, SeaWorld® Yas Island, Abu Dhabi and CLYMB™ Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. This certification underscores Miral Experiences' commitment to enhancing accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring a more welcoming experience for autistic and sensory-sensitive guests, as well as their families. To achieve the prestigious IBCCES accreditation, the theme parks demonstrated a significant commitment to serving guests with autism and their families. A key benchmark was the extensive training of guest-facing colleagues, with each park successfully ensuring that over 80% of staff and leadership received specialized IBCCES autism training throughout 2024. This involved the dedication of in-house trainers at each asset who meticulously coordinated and organized these comprehensive training programs. Furthermore, this commitment extends to new hires, guaranteeing that all future guest-facing employees would undergo the same essential training. Beyond staff preparedness, the parks underwent a thorough audit by IBCCES in late 2024 to evaluate the attractions' overall autism and sensory-friendliness and identify areas for enhancement. IBCCES provided valuable suggestions, such as the creation of sensory guides and implementation of clearer signage, improvements to the theme parks' webpages to provide relevant information, and the creation of quiet rooms. These recommendations aim to bolster communication about the parks' accessibility commitment and with continued implementation, the attractions ensure that guests with autistic family members can enjoy the facilities with greater ease and confidence with every visit. The Certified Autism Center™️ designation is granted to organizations that have completed specialized training and certification in autism and sensory awareness, equipping their teams with the skills necessary to understand and accommodate the unique needs of autistic visitors. Timothy Sau Kin NG, Senior Vice President of Operations at Miral Experiences said: 'At Miral Experiences, we are deeply committed to creating memorable and inclusive experiences for all our guests. Achieving the Certified Autism Center™️ designation across our theme parks and attractions represents our team's continuous dedication to understanding and accommodating the diverse needs of autistic and sensory-sensitive guests and signifies a pivotal step in our ongoing journey to enhance accessibility. This commitment reflects our core values of ensuring that everyone, regardless of their individual needs, can fully enjoy the world-class entertainment and experiences we have to offer.' 'IBCCES is honored to collaborate with Miral Experiences in bringing greater accessibility and inclusion to some of Abu Dhabi's most iconic attractions. By achieving the Certified Autism Center™️ designation, Miral Experiences is taking a meaningful step toward ensuring that autistic individuals and their families feel understood, supported, and welcomed when visiting these world-class theme parks and attractions. This milestone reflects a broader movement toward inclusive travel and entertainment experiences across the region,' says Myron Pincomb, IBCCES Board Chairman. To further enhance the visibility of their services and accessible offerings, the five certified Miral Experiences attractions are also listed on the IBCCES Accessibility App directory, which is free for users to download. teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi is a feast for the senses

20 Apr 2025 23:53 ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi officially opened its doors to the public in the Saadiyat Cultural District on April 17,000 square metre multi-sensory art experience is operated by Miral Experiences, the leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences in Abu Dhabi, and Tokyo-based art collective, teamLab, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi). The ground-breaking project will include massive transformative exhibits that take guests on a sensory-rich journey, offering a dynamic and ever-evolving guest experience. The exhibits engage sight, sound, and touch, encouraging guests to expand the way they feel, connect and interact with the world around are some of the exhibits to marvel at the exhibition, open from 10am to 7pm daily: Morphing Continuum Sculptural existence is born in space. It takes form on the ground as a mass and rises from the ground. Existence is born in the air, transcending the very concept of mass, and continues to exist mid-air, maintained in place. The boundaries of these existences are ambiguous, and the glowing spheres that compose them are continuously changing. Even when people fully immerse themselves in this sculpture, its existence remains intact. Levitation Void The order of energy is born and maintained by the environment. And the order of energy gives birth to a new existence. The existence of the order of energy transcends the conventional concept of an object made of matter. Its structure is flexible and soft like a life form, and as long as the environment is maintained, it will repair itself even if it is broken. Spontaneous Order in Chaos Through simple, localised interactions between colour strokes and people, spontaneous order continuously emerges on its own, even as everything moves toward disorder. Order and disorder, existence and the whole, continuously flow into one another without boundaries, as they rise and fall, collide and merge. Light Vortex The existence of an ocean vortex is made up of the same water, both inside and outside. The collection of light that flows from the outside to the inside and from the inside to the outside creates order in the central area, and a biocosmos appears. Light Sculpture - Flow A group of sculptures composed of an order formed by a collection of light that flows continuously from the outside to the inside and from the inside to the outside. Obverse and Reverse The circular, colourful portal appears as a colorless white light membrane when viewed from the backside. When a person attempts to move behind it from any position, the world of colours recedes. Absolute Front Torus This torus always faces the front, whether observed from the side or from below. It exists as a torus within the viewer's cognitive world. We refer to such artworks that exist in the perceived world as Cognitive Sculpture. When it exists within perception, it is considered to exist. Wind Form and Waves This work is not an illusion of space; the artwork space exists as it is in the space where people's bodies are, and the space becomes enveloped in wind and waves, transforming into a sculpture. Images created by camera lenses and perspective represent the illusion of space, depicting a three-dimensional space on a two-dimensional plane. Biocosmos The movement of hundreds of thousands of birds is beautiful and mysterious, like a single, giant life form. This artwork portrays this spatiotemporal existence. Circulating Universe of Water Particles This work is not an illusion of space; the artwork space exists as it is in the space where people's bodies are, and the space is covered by the flow. Images created by camera lenses and perspective represent the illusion of space, depicting a three-dimensional space on a two-dimensional plane. Flutter of Butterflies This piece is called Flutter of Butterflies. However, it is not an illusion of space; instead, the space of the artwork exists as it is in the space where people's bodies are, filling the space with butterflies. Images created by camera lenses and perspective represent the illusion of space, depicting a three-dimensional space on a two-dimensional plane. Graffiti Nature and Beating Earth Colour in a creature on the paper provided and see the picture you have drawn come to life and move in front of you. Living things eat and are eaten by other living things in one shared ecosystem. The creatures you draw will multiply if they eat other living things, but they will die and disappear if they do not eat enough, or if they are eaten by other creatures. Autonomous Abstraction A spontaneous order phenomenon occurs between dots that are close to each other, and their cycle of hues and the rhythm at which they blink gradually synchronise. The dots of lights emit a tone each time they blink. The tones can be heard continuously throughout the space; what sounds like music is solely created by the continuous tones produced by the blinking lights. Massless Amorphous Sculpture This floating, immense sculpture emerges from a sea of bubbles, transcending the very concept of mass. It neither sinks to the ground nor rises completely to the ceiling, but instead drifts in the middle of the space. Continuous Trajectories in Flux and Form Multiple viewpoints are placed within the space of the artwork, and the space around the viewpoints is cut out and flattened using Ultrasubjective Space. The viewer's viewpoint is not fixed, and they can look not only left and right but also in the depth direction, moving freely in all directions, exploring a physical perception in which the whole body is immersed in the world of the artwork. Floating Microcosms This is a series from teamLabBall (2009). Featuring soft and flexible sculptures that relate to people's bodies, sculptures that change the relationship between people and the space through the influence of people's behaviour, and spatial sculptures with ambiguous boundaries. The Accumulation of Time The water level in the space changes over time, altering the shape of the land as time progresses. Eventually, the land becomes covered by water, blurring the boundaries between people's bodies and the artwork. Megaliths in the Roots Garden Megaliths appear in various locations around the world, their spacetime is interconnected. Roots of trees growing in the surrounding area continue directly down to the bottom floor. The floor is an environment where forests connect through a network of mycorrhizal fungi, allowing trees to recognize and share nutrients with each other. Waterfall of Light ParticlesThis artwork is a series based on a waterfall in the mountains of Shikoku, Waterfall of Light Particles - Deep in the Mountains of Shikoku (2016-2017). Floating Lamps in Spontaneous Order Each Floating Lamp on the water glows with its own rhythm. Over time they mutually influence nearby lamps and Tea in Spontaneous Order, starting a spontaneous order phenomenon, and the rhythms of their flickering become closer to each other. Tea in Spontaneous Order - Dynamic Steady State Colour Tea in Spontaneous Order interacts with nearby Tea in Spontaneous Order and the Floating Lamps, causing a spontaneous order phenomenon, in which the flickering rhythms converge. The artwork is born when the tea is made, and disappears when the tea is drunk. Sketch Factory This is a factory where the creatures that you draw in Graffiti Nature and Beating Earth will be made into an original product such as a badge, hand towel, T-shirt, tote bag, or papercraft, to be taken home. Cognitive Solidified Spark Spheres made of accumulated rays of light. The thin red light radiates from the centrein infinite fine rays, creating its spherical shape. The light source remains motionless, yet the countless lines emitting from it wriggle continuously. What is this sphere? Why do the rays of lines wriggle? Our world is within us. Living Crystallised Light The artwork is just ordinary water. The artwork does not exist by itself; the distinctive phenomenon created by the unique environment is the existence of the artwork. We refer to such artworks that exist in the perceived world as Cognitive Sculpture. When it exists within perception, it is considered to exist.

teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi Opens in April With Transformative Art

The 17,000 sqm venue will introduce immersive installations where art shifts in response to natural elements. Feb 25, 2025 teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi will open on April 18th, 2025, in the Saadiyat Cultural District. The 17,000 sqm, operated by Miral Experiences, will introduce immersive installations where art shifts and evolves in response to natural elements. Light, sound, and movement shape each exhibit, ensuring that no two visits are the same. Designed by Japan-based teamLab Architects in collaboration with MZ Architects, the space is built to accommodate artwork that does not exist as a fixed structure but instead takes form through its surroundings. Toshiyuki Inoko, founder of teamLab, described this approach as "environmental phenomena," where the conditions of the space generate and sustain the art itself. He explained that, unlike conventional human-made objects, which exist independently, these works depend on their environment to maintain their structure. Among the installations, 'Massless Suns and Dark Suns' features spheres of light and shadow that shift in response to movement. 'Levitation Void' presents a floating structure that rises and reconstitutes itself after disruption. The experience is designed to be fluid, unpredictable, and shaped by interaction. teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi joins a growing network of institutions within the Saadiyat Cultural District. The Louvre Abu Dhabi and Manarat Al Saadiyat are already established in the area, while the Zayed National Museum, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi are still in development.
