Ali Fazal On Working With Vidya Balan IN Bobby Jasoos: 'Brilliant Experience'

Ali Fazal is basking in the success of his latest film Metro…In Dino. His portrayal of a struggling musician caught up in the corporate world was quite relatable to the audience and his chemistry with Fatima Sana Shaikh was also widely appreciated. Over the years, Ali has worked with some of the leading actresses and in the latest, he recalled his experience with Vidya Balan in Bobby Jasoos.
In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Ali Fazal was asked about his experience of working with Vidya Balan. The actor quipped, 'Brilliant Experience, I hope I get to work with her again. It's been a long time. She was so sweet. Bobby Jasoos pe mere saath full hand holding Chal rahi thi. Dia Mirza produce kar rahi thi, Vidya was there, one of my most cool co-actors. Really cool and very funny." He added, 'She used to have this very nervous anxious energy I remember but I think she's calmed down."

Vidya Balan plays the lead, with Ali Fazal, Arjan Bajwa, Supriya Pathak, Rajendra Gupta and Tanvi Azmi providing supporting performances. It chronicles the narrative of Bilqees 'Bobby" Ahmed, a Hyderabadi woman who wants to be a detective despite numerous difficulties.
After Metro…In Dino, Ali Fazal will feature in Rajkumar Santoshi's Lahore 1947, alongside Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shilpa Shetty, and Shabana Azmi. He'll also appear as Guddu Pandit in Mirzapur: The Movie.
Ali Fazal made his screen debut in 2008 with a small role in the film The Other End of the Line, followed by the television miniseries Bollywood Hero in 2009. Ali Fazal made his Hindi cinema debut as a supporting character in 3 Idiots (2009). He later starred in films such as Always Kabhi Kabhi (2011), Baat Ban Gayi (2013) and Bobby Jasoos (2014). His debut came in the comedy Fukrey (2013), which was followed by significant performances in Happy Bhag Jayegi (2016) and Fukrey Returns (2017). Around the same time, he went into foreign cinema, playing a minor role in Furious 7 (2015) and receiving critical acclaim for his major role as Abdul Karim in Victoria & Abdul (2017).
