Police investigating after carts stolen at Kansas City golf course
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri police are investigating after the city said thieves stole two golf carts from a city golf course.
Employees at Minor Park Golf Course said it happened on Sunday during a youth golf tournament, and two outsiders sneaked through.

Minor Park Golf Course shared video of the moment the golf carts were stolen near Holmes and Red Bridge Road.
The general manager at Minor Park Golf Course said they installed GPS trackers on golf carts within the last two weeks. He said the last place the stolen carts were pinged was at Minor Park, just east of the golf course.
In the video, you can see two men take off with golf carts. The general manager said the people never came back with the city property.
Surveillance video shows the pair first walked through the doors of the Pro Shop, where they spent about 20 minutes inside.
Then, just after 5 p.m. Sunday the two men took off east.
The City of Kansas City, Missouri said thieves stole two golf carts, 'equipped with GPS trackers, but employees later discovered the devices had been forcibly removed.'
The GM told FOX4 he got an alert, saying two golf carts had left the premises – he said the carts' last known location was here at Minor Park.
'They just jumped in the carts and took them and drove them off like they were part of the tournament,' Director Of U.S. Kids Golf in Kansas City Todd Misemer said.
Misemer said the theft happened during their event, but did not involve any of their golfers or crew.
'It's just kind of sad at a kids tournament, the golf course gives up prime tee times for our kids,' Misemer said, 'and then we have adults come in and steal carts, unrelated to the Kids Golf, but outside adults, it is really sad.'
Misemer said there were 300 people at the course when it happened, and 130 kids.
Employees said the thieves stole the carts right outside the clubhouse and each cart costs about $9,000 each.
The Kansas City Police Department said a detective is 'actively working to identify a subject of interest,' and will continue to follow leads.
'We have kids out here as young as 5 years old out here playing golf, and for an adult to come on a property and just blend in, it's going to step up more security and awareness on our end as well,' Misemer said, 'So it kind of opens my eyes, as well.'
The City said in a statement to FOX4, 'Kansas City is committed to keeping minor park a welcoming and safe place for everyone and are already working to replace the stolen carts as quickly as possible.'

U.S Kids Golf is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to a conviction.
If you know anything, call the Kansas City police property crimes unit.
'You would think that a golf course is a safe zone like a park, but you have people that just don't care,' Misemer said, 'So, we just need to do a better job of being aware of who's around us.'
