Minnesota Twins call up former Spartan left handed pitcher to major leagues
Last week, former Spartan pitcher Sam Benschoter was called up to the major leagues by the Cincinnati Reds, and on Thursday, another former Spartan was called up to the major leagues.
Anthony Misiewicz got the call, once again, and will be joining the Minnesota Twins in the major leagues.
A pitcher at MSU from 2013-2015, Misiewicz has had a good pro career to this point. The lefty from Fair Haven (MI) has spent a lot of time in the MLB from 2020 on, spending time with the Seattle Mariners, Kansas City Royals, Arizona Diamondbacks, Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees. The Twins will be his sixth MLB team.
His MLB career has consisted of 131 games and 115.2 innings, where Misiewicz has a 4.67 ERA, a 1.42 WHIP and 114 strikeouts.
