"Abah looked unusually spirited that morning. After Subuh prayers, he got straight into the car and waited for me, although check-in was not until 8.30am and the flight was at 11am," said Hazrul when met at the family home in Taman Istimewa here today. Hazrul said Misnan took the place of a Johor executive councillor, who had pulled out of the pilgrimage. He was gone. We accept it. Allah loved him more." Hazrul said his father had left a heartfelt reminder before his departure. "He told me, 'Haziq, take care of your sisters, your mother, and your siblings. "I'm the eldest son, and he reminded me often of that responsibility." He said the family was still processing the loss, but his mother remained calm would continue with her pilgrimage. Misnan had six children aged between 20 and 34, and two grandchildren.
