Hutton, of Rutherglen, was granted bail by Sheriff Allan Mckay. Hutton's next court appearance is to be determined. Hutton - who currently plays for junior outfit Gartcairn - also starred for clubs such as St Mirren, Queen of the South and Dumbarton.

St Aidan's S1 to S3 pupils were outstanding in their competitions. The annual North Lanarkshire Schools Athletics Championships at Crown Point Stadium in Glasgow resulted in an impressive haul of medals for St Aidan's High pupils. Despite the miserable weather with rain pouring down all day, the S1 to S3 pupils were outstanding in their events, their conduct and the way they cheered each other on throughout the day, bringing 13 medals back to the Wishaw school. ‌ Miss Cairns, PE teacher, said 'Their determination, sportsmanship, and team spirit were a real credit to our school.' ‌ S1 pupil Sam Shipwright was outstanding on the day, winning two gold medals and beating numerous club level athletes.
