Golden retriever's ‘daily morning routine' with fruit vendor wins the Internet's heart: ‘Fruit tax collector'
Fruit vendors are often just part of the city's everyday rhythm, but once in a while, they become the stars of the sweetest stories. Beyond mangoes and bananas, some strike up bonds that go far beyond business, especially with the four-legged locals. A video shared by MissEva's Pet House on Instagram – featuring a golden retriever who seems to have forged an endearing friendship with a local fruit vendor – has captured hearts online. In the clip, the dog stands patiently on an elevated spot, as if waiting to collect a little 'fruit tax' for being irresistibly cute. The moment the vendor approaches, her tail starts wagging in delight. Unbothered by the attention, he chats warmly with the dog and her owner: 'Yesterday, she slept with the banana in her mouth!' With casual expertise, he peels a banana, breaks it into three small pieces, and gently feeds his eager customer. Once the treat is done, the retriever returns to her post, like she's clocking out after a morning shift. The caption says, 'Our daily morning routine.' A post shared by Misty Eva Mauli (@misty_eva_mauli) This gentle exchange has struck a chord with viewers across the Internet. One user said, 'My two doggo's also have a friend he comes everyday at 6pm sharp selling veggies he throws like more than half kilos of tomatoes to them as a token of friendship.' Another user wrote, 'Wish everyone should also feed stray dogs same way.' A third individual called the fruit vendor the 'Richest person in the world.' A fourth person wrote, 'Kaam khatam hote hi back to pavillion (Back to pavilion just as the work is done).' This isn't the first time the Internet has melted over an animal playing 'tax collector'. Last year, an elephant named Raja from Sri Lanka made headlines for his charming toll collection routine. Camped along a road in Ceylon, Raja confidently stops passing vehicles, nudging them with his trunk in hopes of scoring a snack. Let's just say, negotiations rarely end without him getting his treat.
