Katrina Anne Johnson is Binibining Pilipinas International 2025
Katrina Anne Johnson of Davao Province is Binibining Pilipinas International 2025! She was crowned by Myrna Esguerra on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. During the Q&A portion, she impressed with her answer to the following question: "Lies told a thousand times become the truth. What is your reaction to this statement now that fake news pollutes and corrupts our society more than ever?" "Well, I think social media and the internet is such a blessing to all of us because it allows us to create a community online with people from all around the world. But yes, fake news is a rampant issue nowadays. And to be honest with you, I think the best way that we can combat that is to make sure that we're educating people on how to discern information. We need to be aware, we need to regulate, and make our online communities a safe space for everyone. Thank you," she said. She also won the Best in Evening Gown and Binibining Dunkin awards. Meanwhile, Annabelle Mae McDonnell of Iligan City was hailed as the Binibining Pilipinas Globe. She was crowned by her predecessor Miss Globe 2024 2nd runner-up Jasmin Bungay. Dalia Varde Khattab of Las Piñas is the first runner-up and Kathleen Enid Espenido of Siargao is the second runner-up. Congratulations, queens! —MGP, GMA Integrated News
