Who Is Derek Green? Chiefs Heiress Gracie Hunt Reveals Mystery Boyfriend Who Is Son of Former Kansas City Quarterback
Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt is dating Derek Green, son of former Super Bowl-winning quarterback Trent Green, who played six seasons with the Chiefs. Gracie, the 26-year-old daughter of Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, made her relationship public on Instagram this week, a year after splitting with Patrick Mahomes' old friend Cody Keith. Hunt, a former Miss Kansas USA, shared a series of vacation photos in a carousel post that featured her and Green holding hands, indirectly making her relationship with Green official. One of the photos show the couple by a pool, while a video clip showed the pair taking a juice shot together, the New York Post reported on Saturday. Making Her Relationship Public "My heart is full. Grateful for some much-needed time to rest, reflect, and reset after a whirlwind few months post-football season," Gracie wrote. "So thankful for time with the people who keep me grounded, remind me I'm loved, and never fail to make me laugh. Swipe for a few favorite snapshots from life lately. ☺️." Trent Green wrapped up his NFL career with six seasons in Kansas City, where he played in 90 games and recorded 1,752 passes for 21,778 yards and 120 touchdowns. Earlier in his career, he was part of the 2000 Super Bowl-winning St. Louis Rams team, although he didn't play in the championship game due to an injury. His son Derek tried to follow a similar path, playing as a quarterback at Southern Methodist University (SMU) from 2018 to 2021 before transferring to Long Island University in 2022. Gracie Hunt also attended SMU. Derek currently works as a sports operations manager based in Kansas City, according to his LinkedIn profile. Gracie has hard-launched their relationship over the past month after posting a photo with Derek during the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington DC. However, she made the relationship official only on Friday. Without a Care It remains unclear how exactly their relationship began, but earlier this month, Gracie hinted that sparks flew between them at Arrowhead Stadium. She posted an Instagram Story showing herself with her arms around a man at the Chiefs' home field. In a touching message, she wrote, "After meeting 7.5 years ago in this place... all along there was some invisible string." Gracie is the daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, whose estimated net worth is around $1.4 billion. That post all but confirmed her breakup with Keith, after several months of silence about him on social media and the apparent removal of their past photos together. Meanwhile, Keith set his own Instagram account to private, fueling speculation about their split. Back in December, Gracie had spoken about her relationship with Keith, sharing that he had received Mahomes' approval. "I love the Chiefs and I love football season. He grew up playing football and he and Patrick actually trained together out of college," she told OutKick. "They had a pre-existing friendship and it is just so funny how small the world is. They have been buddies this whole time, and it took him all this time to meet me." The details surrounding their breakup remain unclear, but when Hunt celebrated her birthday in March, Keith — a real estate broker — was noticeably absent in the photos.

Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt shows off new mystery man after split from Patrick Mahomes' friend
Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt, the daughter of the owner of the NFL team Clark Hunt, hard launched her new relationship at the White House Correspondents' Dinner last week. The 26-year-old split from ex-boyfriend Cody Keith -an old friend of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes - earlier this year but is already off the market. After teasing her new beau earlier this month, she took their relationship public, attending the gala in Washington DC on the arm of her mystery man. Gracie shared several snaps of her trip to the nation's capital to Instagram Sunday, opening up on the 'unforgettable honor.' The former Miss Kansas USA, who attended the dinner as a guest of Fox News, wowed in a slinky red gown but it was the man by her side who truly caught fans' attention. In one photo, Gracie posed alongside her beau, who cut a sophisticated figure in a tailored black tux, showing his face for the first time. The Chiefs heiress wowed in a slinky red dress for the event in Washington, DC However, he still remains semi-anonymous as she failed to name him in the caption. She also only tagged Fox in the photos, leaving her new man's identity somewhat of a mystery. At the beginning of the month, Gracie had hinted at her new romance when she shared a video on her Instagram story with her arms around a man at Arrowhead Stadium. In a heartfelt caption, she wrote: 'After meeting 7.5 years ago in this place... all along there was some invisible string.' Once again, Gracie stopped short of revealing the identity of her new man but the signals are that he works for the Chiefs in some capacity, given they were both at Arrowhead in the heart of the NFL offseason. Her post all but confirmed her split with Keith as well after a couple of months on social media without mentioning him, as well as appearing to delete past pictures of him. Keith put his own Instagram page on private amid rumors of their breakup. Opening up on her romance with Keith back in December, Hunt revealed that he had the stamp of approval from Mahomes. 'I love the Chiefs and I love football season. He grew up playing football and he and Patrick actually trained together out of college,' she told OutKick. 'They had a pre-existing friendship and it is just so funny how small the world is. 'They have been buddies this whole time, and it took him all this time to meet me.' The nature of their split is unknown from there but when Hunt recently celebrated her birthday in March, there were no pictures of Keith - who works as a real estate broker. He was also not believed to have joined her for the Super Bowl in February, where the Chiefs were beaten by the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans. Hunt told OutKick that Keith was based in North Carolina but was making regular visits. Her family have owned the Chiefs franchise since 1963 and it was inherited by her father, Clark, when his father Lamar passed away in 2006.

Library reopens Westlink Branch after long remodel
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — What was once the busiest branch library in Wichita may regain that title. The Wichita Public Library has reopened the Westlink Branch after an almost two-year remodeling project. The library at 8515 Bekemeyer, near Central and Tyler, has doubled in size, adding community meeting rooms, more study spaces, a drive-up window, an expanded children's room, and a dedicated teen space. The branch also has updated technology. 'Modern libraries definitely aren't just a warehouse of books, and we've been exploring that through our Advanced Learning Library and all of our other branches,' Jaime Nix, Wichita director of libraries, said. 'Libraries are meeting spaces. They're places for opportunities for discovery, connection.' KSN's Asia Cymone Smith is the new Miss Kansas USA The branch still needs some work, but Nix said it was important to open it to the community. 'It's going to be a work in progress for the next month or so,' she said. 'We have some more furniture coming in. Obviously, we have a circulation desk that needs to be installed. We're erring on the side of the access before perfection, so we really wanted to open the doors.' Westlink Branch will be open: Monday through Thursday — 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday — 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday — 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. After the library closed in May 2023, patrons were invited to use a temporary location in the shopping center at Central and Ridge Road. 'The temporary location definitely served a purpose for us, but we're glad to have everybody home,' Nix said. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
