Barbosa is an international fashion model and creative director, celebrated for merging high-concept visuals with emotional storytelling.
Her editorial work challenges traditional norms of beauty and femininity, crafting campaigns that prioritise authenticity, power and aesthetic depth. Yet, her journey to the creative spotlight was far from linear.
Before fashion became her stage, Barbosa was a professional footballer for Coventry City FC.
'Football taught me discipline, resilience and the value of teamwork - qualities that are invaluable in modelling and creative work,' she explained.
'It also taught me to perform under pressure, to read situations quickly and to adapt. On a shoot or when directing a campaign, every second counts - just like on the field.'
Transitioning from football to fashion and creative direction stemmed from a lifelong affinity for aesthetics.
'Even as a child, I was drawn to self-expression,' Barbosa said. 'After football, I wanted a career that allowed me to combine creativity, storytelling and impact. Modelling and creative direction gave me the freedom to explore those passions while challenging myself in entirely new ways.'
Her academic background in law also informs her creative process. 'Studying law sharpened my analytical skills and attention to detail,' she noted.
'From contracts to project execution, I learned how to balance creative vision with practical implementation. Creativity without structure doesn't last.'
