No one vacated village: Resident in Barmer following one month of Operation Sindoor
Jaisalmer (Rajasthan) [India], June 7 (ANI): Following the completion of one month of Operation Sindoor, people living near the Indo-Pak border in Rajasthan expressed happiness. A resident in Barmer said that there was too much enthusiasm among the people during Operation Sindoor, and nobody living near the border vacated their village. A resident, Raghuvir Singh, said, 'My village is just 2 km away from the Indo-Pak border. We have seen Operation Sindoor very closely. Nobody living near the border vacated their village; they supported the Indian Army and BSF. The Indian Air Force destroyed the terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and proved that this is the new India, 'jo ghar mein ghuskar maarta hai'. There was not much impact in Barmer. Uttarlai Air Force Station is nearby.' Another resident in Barmer said that the youth and senior citizens in the village were willing to be part of the operation. A resident, Ashok, said, 'We trust the leadership of PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Indian Armed Forces. We were not scared as our Indian Armed Forces are very strong.' A local in Jaisalmer said, 'There is a wave of happiness among the people. The Indian Armed Forces destroyed the terrorist hideouts in Pakistan. India gave a befitting reply to Pakistan. Addressing a public gathering in J-K's Reasi, PM Modi said, 'Remember, exactly one month ago, on the night of May 6, Pakistan saw its doomsday. Now, whenever Pakistan hears the name of Operation Sindoor, it will remember its shameful defeat. The Pakistani Army and terrorists had never thought that India would attack terrorists hundreds of kilometres inside Pakistan in such a way.' He said Operation Sindoor demonstrated the strength of Aatmnirbhar Bharat and praised the armed forces for their trust in 'Make in India.' 'You have seen how Operation Sindoor has shown the power of Aatmnirbhar Bharat. Today, the world is discussing India's defence ecosystem. There is only one reason behind this. Our army's trust in Make in India. Every Indian has to repeat what the army has done,' he said. He also urged the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to actively participate in Mission Manufacturing, announced in this year's Budget. 'I want to ask the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to join this mission. Your ideas and skills will take India's economy and security to new heights,' he said. The Prime Minister also announced financial assistance for families affected by border shelling. He said houses fully damaged by cross-border shelling would receive Rs 2 lakh, while partially damaged houses would be given Rs 1 lakh. 'The suffering of more than 2,000 families affected by shelling is also our own suffering. Now, those houses which have suffered heavy damage will be given Rs 2 lakh, and those partially damaged will receive Rs 1 lakh more,' he said. (ANI)

J-K: A month after Operation Sindoor, residents in Samba return to work; situation calm on border
Samba (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], June 7 (ANI): As a month has gone by since 'Operation Sindoor', residents in Samba expressed faith in the Indian Army and said that the situation was peaceful at present and people have returned to work. A resident in Samba said, 'We are living 2 km away from the border. We have faced severe losses, and parts of drone entered our kitchen. Our windows were shattered. Now there is peace. Earlier, we were extremely frightened. PM Modi has provided a lot of benefits. He has announced the formation of new border battalions for Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, there was continuous shelling. We will be extremely relieved once PM Modi provides us with bunkers.' He further said that they had full confidence in the Indian Army and all the drones were neutralised. 'Now the people have started working in the fields again. There is no fear,' he added. Another resident living 3 km away from the border said that the situation is now very peaceful. 'The Indian Army and BSF had destroyed the drones in the air. Now, development work is in progress. People have started working in fields,' he added. Another resident said that the terrorists' launch pad should also be dismantled in future. India's next goal is to be among world's top defence exporters, says PM
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (June 6, 202%) said Operation Sindoor demonstrated the strength of Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India), and pledged to make India one of world's top defence exporters. 'Today, the world is recognising India's defence ecosystem,' Mr. Modi said in his speech at Udhampur's Katra. Mr. Modi said India had emerged as a leading defence exporter over the past decade, and 'the next goal is to position India among the world's top defence exporters'. 'The faster India moves towards this objective, the more employment opportunities will be generated nationwide, benefiting millions,' he said. 'Choose products made in India' The Prime Minister said that just as the nation honoured its armed forces on the borders, it must also uphold the pride of 'Made in India' in the market, ensuring that India's strength is reflected in both defence and commerce. He said the recent military success was due to the armed forces' trust in 'Make in India'. 'Every Indian must now emulate their commitment. The Mission Manufacturing initiative, announced in this year's budget, was aimed at accelerating India's manufacturing sector,' he said. He called upon young innovators and entrepreneurs in Jammu and Kashmir to join this mission. 'India needs their modern thinking, innovation, ideas, and skills to elevate national security and economic growth,' he added. Calling upon every Indian to make a commitment to prioritise products made in India, Mr. Modi said that these goods are a true reflection of the hard work and dedication of fellow citizens. 'Choosing Indian-made products is the real service to the nation, strengthening the economy and empowering workers,' he added.

PM Modi also made a strong pitch for promoting indigenous products as an act of patriotism. 'We have to take another resolution: we have to prioritise goods made in India, created by the sweat of our countrymen. This is patriotism. This is service to the nation. We have to increase the honour of our Army on the border and increase the pride of Make in India in the marketplace,' he added. Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated several key infrastructure projects in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district. These included the Chenab Railway Bridge, the world's highest railway arch bridge, and the Anji Bridge, India's first cable-stayed rail bridge. He also flagged off two Vande Bharat Express trains from Katra Railway Station, enhancing direct connectivity between the Jammu division and Kashmir. (ANI)
