In a video shared to TikTok on May 19, content creator Mister Lewis visits the restaurant and asks what the most expensive cocktail is. A server replies that Papi Streak's new drink, titled "It's Not a Bag, It's a Cocktail," is presented with caviar inside an orange Birkin bag and has a price tag of $33,000. Commenters on TikTok had a lot to say about the viral drink, with many referencing the notorious exclusivity of Birkin bags. "$33,000 and apparently this is still somehow the easiest way to get a Birkin," one user joked. However, the menu item doesn't actually come with that steep of a cost. While it's served in a bag worth tens of thousands, the customer doesn't get to keep the famed Hermès creation. "The bag is more art/inspiration and the cocktail itself only costs $150," a representative of the restaurant tells PEOPLE over email. "It arrives tableside, with two glasses — one for the cocktail and another for the caviar pairing," they further explained. "The cocktail is poured table side and caviar is served on top of ice in the second glass." The drink is available to purchase anytime during service and there's no limit on the number that can be served. Everyone's always wondered, 'What's in that bag?' Now they get to find out." Einhorn notes that the drink has been incredibly popular. "We can't make enough of them!" he says. "Each night outperforms the last." The co-owner continues, "Papi Steak is more than a restaurant; it's a full entertainment and dining destination, and this cocktail has become yet another iconic, Instagram-worthy moment to complement an unforgettable meal." Papi Steak, which also has a location in Las Vegas, is a partnership between David Grutman (Groot Hospitality) and Einhorn. The It's Not a Bag, It's a Cocktail drink includes Belvedere 10 vodka, grapefruit oil saccharum and Lillet Blanc, as well as caviar. The video quickly went viral, with many noting that this hefty drink might be 'somehow the easiest way to get a Birkin.' A Birkin bag, which is considered the 'one of the most coveted objects of recent decades,' is notoriously hard to get — and due to its exclusivity, people tend to spend thousands on thousands of dollars on other Hermès products before they can even think about getting a Birkin. That's because while technically anyone can ask a sales associate about the elite bag, Hermès reserves it for a limited amount of select customers, typically those who have a repeat purchase history with the brand. He quickly went viral on TikTok when he shared a video procuring the cocktail and the Birkin bag, which is famously difficult to buy. In fact, most people must spend thousands on other Hermes products before they are offered a Birkin, which means the accessories go for thousands of dollars on the resale market. Commenters had a field day, with some exclaiming that it's the best way to buy a Birkin - although others thought it could be a dupe. '$33,000 and apparently this is still somehow the easiest way to get a Birkin,' one person said, asking, 'You get to keep it right?' 'Does Hermes knows they are offering Birkins with cocktails now?' a commenter questioned. 'So much for exclusive and elevated,' they complained. Another summed it up as a $10 drink with a $32,990 bag. 'I'm sorry but that bag is very fake,' an angry commenter claimed, as another said it did not appear to have the Hermès logo. While it's possible the restaurant chain procured the exclusive bag on its own, one fashion fan explained that the design house 'would never license a restaurant to sell their most exclusive product.' They continued: 'Just picture it, a place where dishes are washed, foods are fried, and margaritas are shaken... selling BIRKINS.' Papi Steak shared its own video showcasing the cocktail on Instagram with plenty of Hermès boxes, telling followers 'It's not just a bag.' The restaurant is known for its over-the-top menu items, including the viral $1,000 'Beef Case' Steak Tomahawk-cut that's a spectacle complete with changing lights throughout the entire building to celebrate the lavish order. The 93-seat chophouse delivers an innovative dining experience that has made it a hit with celebrities. The restaurant, with locations in Miami and Las Vegas, boasts a whole slew of celebrity fans, including Ivanka Trump, her younger half-sister Tiffany, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sofia Vergara, Hailey Bieber, and John Travolta. In fact, Tiffany celebrated her 27th birthday at the 'high energy steakhouse.' Co-owner David Einhorn presented her with an enormous three-tiered cake decorated with with nearly a dozen photos taken from her Instagram account. Ivanka and her son Joseph, 10, were spotted dining there in March.
