"It's Always Challenging...": Moeen Ali's Mega Statement On Mohammed Siraj's Exploits vs England
Former England cricketer Moeen Ali heaped praise on India's Mohammed Siraj for his remarkable performance in the recently concluded series against England and said the bowler has made big strides towards being a complete bowler in international cricket. The England tour marked one of Siraj's finest outings in Test cricket, topping the wicket-charts with 23 wickets and running throughout the series like a warrior for over 185 overs, undeterred, never tired. While the pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah played only three Tests owing to his workload management, it was Siraj who unleashed his 'Miyan Magic' when his beloved 'Jassi Bhai' needed some rest. "Siraj has been outstanding in the England series. The energy, aggression, and consistency he brings with the ball is world-class. He's matured into a genuine match-winner for India, and it's always a challenge for batsmen facing him," stated Moeen Ali to ANI. "What impresses me most is his ability to control the ball. He has got a big heart and never backs down -- that is what makes him so special. Credit to him for the impact he's making," added Ali. Ali has retired from international cricket and is exploring his cricketing abilities in Dubai, where he now resides. With 6,678 runs, eight centuries and 366 wickets in 298 international appearances, Moeen was one of England's biggest match-winners of this generation and recently featured in the World Championship of Legends (WCL) tournament, scoring 43 runs across three innings, but failing to pick up a wicket. "Moeen was a great cricketer and did well in the recent WCL tournament. It was a pleasure to welcome Moeen Ali to our London office. He's not only a world-class sportsman but also a thoughtful individual. We're excited to assist him in finding a property that reflects his taste and values," said Irfan Wahid, CEO of GFS Developments. Moeen, while not playing for England, will continue being active in the T20 league circuit.

Ishaan Khatter Recalls Childhood Moment With Amitabh Bachchan On Sooryavansham Set: ‘I Pulled His Beard'
In a nostalgic interview, Ishaan Khatter fondly recalled visiting the set of Sooryavansham as a child and having a sweet moment with Amitabh Bachchan. If you've ever lazily flicked through TV channels on a weekend afternoon, chances are you've stumbled upon Sooryavansham—the cult classic that never seems to go off-air on Set Max. Though the film didn't fare well at the box office upon its 1999 release, it has since gained a loyal following. But for actor Ishaan Khatter, the film holds a more personal significance—he actually visited its set as a child, thanks to his actor-mother Neelima Azeem. In a recent chat with Mid-Day, Ishaan shared a delightful anecdote from his childhood. 'I think my mom once did a children's show called Nayantara, and I appeared on it too. It was a talk show where she spoke about parenting and motherhood. I've always been fascinated by film sets," he said. Recounting the moment he visited the sets of Sooryavansham, Ishaan added, 'She once took me to the sets of Sooryavansham, and apparently, I kept saying 'Bade Miyan, Bade Miyan' to Amitabh Bachchan, because I had seen Bade Miyan Chote Miyan," he laughed. What happened next has remained a cherished story in his family. 'He (Amitabh Bachchan) picked me up! And my mom later told me, 'You were the only kid he lifted, and you pulled his beard!' And he just smiled and said, 'It's okay.' These are the stories I've grown up hearing from my mom." In an earlier interview with Mashable India, Ishaan had also revealed how Amitabh Bachchan helped him get into school during his early years. 'At the time, she was trying to get me admitted into a school and Jamnabai was then one of the nicest schools. She was having trouble getting admission for me there and he very kindly, personally went and spoke to the authorities," he said. Neelima Azeem played Mrs. Varun Singh in Sooryavansham, while Ishaan's father, Rajesh Khattar, essayed her on-screen husband. For many, Sooryavansham may be just another film on a television loop. For Ishaan Khatter, though, it's a piece of childhood wrapped in warmth, wonder—and a beard-pulling incident with the Big B himself. First Published:

ATS, Pakur police seize huge cache of explosives, 1 held
1 2 3 4 Dumka: The anti-terrorist squad (ATS) from Ranchi in a joint operation with Pakur police seized a huge cache of explosive materials from a house in Domangadiya village under the Pakudiya police station of Pakur district on Friday. Acting on a tip-off, the security forces raided the house of one Raja Miyan and seized 9,335 pieces of gelatin and 2,160 pieces of detonators, which were kept in dozens of cartons. The forces also arrested Miyan's son identified as Samsul Hasan. "The owner of the house and a few others managed to escape after seeing the security forces," said a police official, adding that the arrested man confessed to indulging in the practice of selling the explosive materials to owners of stone quarries for blasting purposes. Informing about the incident, the officer in charge of Pakudiya police station, Amit Kumar Singh, said, "The ATS had inputs about the illegal stock of explosives, prompting us to conduct the raid." He further said an investigation to identify other key players of the case was on. Singh added, "The arrested person confessed to supplying the explosives to the different stone quarries operating in the district." The practice of supplying illegal explosives to such an extent, however, has sparked a sensation in the district, which is famous for the stone industry, as its recovery also suggests the operation of illegal stone quarries on a large scale.
