Mleiha Club enhances youth knowledge with "Green Sharjah"
Workshop on Agriculture The club collaborated with the Mleiha Municipality to organise a practical agricultural workshop for participants aged 7–12 and 13–17. Participants learned about sustainability concepts and engaged in direct planting and cultivation activities, an educational step that strengthened their sense of environmental responsibility and belonging to their place. 'Here is Sharjah' This workshop is one of the highlights of "Here is Sharjah" Week, which concluded amidst a remarkable turnout and strong engagement from children and youth. The workshop combined education, entertainment, and experience within a comprehensive vision that reflects the Emirate of Sharjah's commitment to building a generation proud of its identity, connected to its environment, open to knowledge, and engaged with its heritage and values. Religious Activities In the context of developing religious awareness, the club organised a workshop on ablution and prayer in cooperation with the Department of Islamic Affairs. The workshop was presented in a simplified style appropriate to the participants' age group, instilling in them the concepts of purity and worship. The week also featured a distinguished Quranic activity in cooperation with the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment, which focused on correcting recitation and instilling a sense of connection with the Holy Quran in the hearts of children. Arts Arts were also featured in this diverse week. An Arabic calligraphy workshop was held in cooperation with the Department of Culture, aiming to develop artistic taste and hone participants' handwriting skills. 'Shaddad' Making (Camel Gear) workshop was held at the Sharjah Camel Racing Club headquarters, allowing participants to gain a closer look at the heritage of camel racing and the details of making authentic Emirati Shaddads. Know Sharjah To promote national belonging and general knowledge, the club organised the "Know Sharjah" competition, which tested participants' knowledge of the Emirate's history and prominent landmarks in an interactive and engaging manner. The "Participant in the Role of Supervisor" initiative also offered participants the opportunity to experience leadership, discipline, and responsibility by assuming supervisory roles within workshops and activities. Buhais Geology Park Visit At the end of the week, an exploratory field visit was organised to the Buhais Geology Park, where participants learned about the unique geological formations in the Mleiha area and discovered the secrets of the natural environment through an exciting scientific experience that combined learning and adventure. Al Ketbi stated that the "Our Holiday is Different" programme continues at the Mleiha Club, in accordance with an expanded plan prepared by the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC). This programme aims to harness the energies of young people during the summer vacation in a safe and stimulating environment that promotes values, nurtures minds, and develops life and community skills among the new generation.

Musbah Awad hails Mleiha Club's summer programme
Delegation visits summer activities The organising committee of the summer programme at Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club received a visiting delegation from Mleiha Municipality. The delegation included Musbah Saif Awad, Director of Mleiha Municipality, accompanied by Awad Saeed Harib, Director of Support Services at the Municipality. The visit aimed to follow up on the ongoing activities of the "Sharjah Summer Sports 2025—Our Holidays Are Different" initiative, reflecting institutional cooperation to serve the community. The visiting delegation was welcomed by Mohammed Sultan Al Khasouni, Chairman of the Board of Directors, along with other board members, including Mohammed Awad Al Ketbi, Head of the Summer Activity Organising Committee, and Abdulrahman Muheir Al Ketbi, Head of the Media and Corporate Communications Committee. Tour of facilities and activities The delegation toured the club's premises and summer activity spaces, observing a wide range of knowledge-based workshops, skills training, and recreational programs tailored to diverse age groups. Sharjah Civil Defence champs of Mleiha Ramadan Tournament
Outstanding finale The final match took place yesterday evening at the club's outdoor fields, showcasing an exciting showdown between the Al Dhaid Municipality team and the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority. Both teams played incredibly well, putting on a thrilling performance. In the end, the Sharjah Civil Defence team triumphed with a score of 4-1, securing the championship title. Honoring ceremony After the match, a closing ceremony took place, attended by several important sports figures and officials, including Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden from Al Dhaid Club and Hamad Rashid Al Tunaiji from Al Dhaid Municipality, along with leaders from other participating institutions. During the ceremony, there were special acknowledgments for the teams that competed, the supporters, and standout players who excelled throughout the tournament. The Mleiha Municipality team received an award for finishing in third place, while the Al Dhaid Municipality team secured second place. The championship trophy was awarded to the Sharjah Civil Defense team, marking them as the champions. Individual awards were also presented to highlight some of the exceptional players. Abdullah Abdul Majeed from Sharjah Civil Defense was named Best Player, and Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Dasouqi from Mleiha Municipality earned the title of top scorer with 11 goals. The accolade for Best Goalkeeper went to Mohammed Musabah Bin Hudaybah, also from Mleiha Municipality, who impressively allowed only 8 goals in the entire tournament. Moreover, the Al Bataeh Municipality team was recognized for their sportsmanship, showcasing their commitment to fair play. Referees who officiated the matches with excellence were honored as well, including international referee Ahmed Abdullah Al Ghais. Commentator Mohammed Fouad Ahmed also received appreciation for bringing excitement to the games with his enthusiastic commentary. The ceremony concluded with thanks to the organizing team, who worked hard behind the scenes to make the tournament a success.
