Iraqi Stars League teams announce coaches with historic 10-10 local and foreign split
Baghdad ( – The 20 clubs of the Iraqi Stars League have finalized their coaching appointments for the 2025-2026 season. In a first for the league, the list of coaches is evenly divided, with 10 local and 10 foreign coaches set to lead their respective teams. This landmark decision marks a new chapter for Iraqi football, balancing local expertise with international experience.
The Iraqi Football Association has set the official start of the new season for September 13, with the championship scheduled to conclude on June 1, 2026. The coaches who will officially lead the teams for the upcoming season are:
