Bikini boss Karina Irby lists ‘affordable' beachfront home
A swimwear label founder has listed her beachfront investment property for $1.5m, just a year after buying it on a whim.
Moana Bikini boss Karina Irby paid $1.2m for the two-bedroom unit on the Gold Coast in March 2024, sharing news of her buy on social media.
The entrepreneur has a following of more than 1.1m on Instagram alone and is known for her body positive messaging.
At the time, the 34-year-old said she had 'accidentally' purchased the apartment in a 1975-built building with stunning ocean views.

Irby owns another property in the same popular southern suburb, where she lives with husband, Ryan Jones.
Reflecting on recent renovations to that three-bedroom home, she said, 'It's going to take longer than going to cost more money than what you budget for [and] more issues will pop up'.
Irby purchased her first home, described as a 'secret seaside retreat', for $1.3m in 2015.
The investment unit for sale at 2/738 Pacific Parade, Currumbin has been permanently leased since, with the tenants last hit with a rent increase to $850 a week in May 2024.
Marketing agent, Erin King, of LJ Hooker, said the listing was 'an amazing opportunity' to secure an entry into the growth market of Currumbin, where unit prices had climbed 9.4 per cent over the last 12 months to a median of $992,500, according to PropTrack data.
'The low body corporate fees and a very affordable beachfront purchase price sets this home apart from other Currumbin beachfront properties,' she said.
'It has a high versatility of use as a comfortable apartment to live in, as a beach retreat or as an investment property with proven long-term rental, holiday let or short-term rental options.'
Irby's unit is located on the lower level of the retro Fletcher building of six lots, and comes with a separate storage space downstairs.
Features include an open-plan living area with views across to Elephant Rock and Currumbin Beach, along with a modern kitchen with stone benchtops and stainless steel appliances.
Irby founded her swimwear label in 2011, and has since built a worldwide following for her bold, bright prints, also launching an activewear line, Moana Smile Club.
