This Suzuki Jimny 6x4 Is... Exactly What the Name Suggests
A decade ago, Mercedes-AMG shocked the world by actually selling a six-wheeled G-Wagen directly to customers. The ridiculous G63 AMG 6x6 may have come and gone, but your chance to own something in the vague shape of a G-Wagen with six wheels and a truck bed is not over yet. You just may have to settle for something a little smaller. This Suzuki Jimny 6x4, currently for sale via U.K.-based Historics Auctioneers, is exactly what the name suggests: a Suzuki Jimny modified in the image of the most ridiculous Mercedes to leave an official factory in decades. The project started life as a regular Jimny, then England's Mocho Fabrication added an axle, two wheels, and bed-like bodywork to surround the extended portion of the mini-SUV. (Sadly, the last axle isn't driven, hence the name 6x4 instead of 6x6.) An Audi-sourced shade of gray paint and custom quilted leather finished the project, bringing the Jimny 6x4 up to a higher standard than your usual custom six-wheeled sub-compact off-roader, if there were such a thing. The Jimny also comes equipped with aftermarket Apple CarPlay, making it an ideal daily driver for someone very worried about how their podcasts are displayed on their infotainment screen but not so concerned about how many wheels their Jimny has. Unfortunately, Suzuki's choice not to sell the Jimny (or any other car since 2012) new in America means that this project cannot easily be replicated on another Jimny here and driven around the U.S. as a road-going car. That said, interested European-market bidders will be excited to hear that the Jimny 6x4 is a relative bargain, at an estimated auction price of $51,000–$64,000. Six-Wheeled Suzuki Jimny is a Unique Off-Road Marvel in the UK
What began as a standard 2019 Suzuki Jimny has now evolved into a Six-Wheeled Suzuki Jimny, a truly unique creation that pushes the limits of this compact off-roader. Originally built in Japan, this Jimny was later imported to the UK, where it underwent a dramatic transformation—gaining an extra axle, an extended chassis, and a custom pickup bed, making it one of the most distinctive Jimny builds ever seen. The Suzuki Jimny has always been celebrated for its off-road prowess, compact design, and reliable performance. Since its debut in 1968, it has remained a favorite among adventure seekers, thanks to its lightweight build and agile handling. While it lacks the luxury features of larger SUVs, its charm lies in its rugged simplicity. However, this Six-Wheeled Suzuki Jimny takes things to an entirely new level—offering a modified design unlike anything the brand has ever produced. An Ambitious Build Like No Other The idea for this Six-Wheeled Suzuki Jimny was sparked by a concept rendering, inspiring its owner to bring the vision to life. To execute the build, Mocho Fabrication, a specialist workshop based in Broadway, Cotswolds, was tasked with the extensive modifications. The transformation involved stretching the chassis, widening the body, and adding a third axle—all while incorporating genuine Suzuki parts to ensure a seamless factory-like appearance. The team sourced donor Jimny components to complete the upgrade and finished the build in Audi's signature Nardo Grey, giving it a sleek yet aggressive look. Inside, the Six-Wheeled Suzuki Jimny received a premium interior upgrade, featuring quilted leather upholstery in black and light grey for a more refined cabin feel. The outdated stock infotainment system was replaced with a Kenwood Apple CarPlay unit, providing modern connectivity and convenience. Performance and Capabilities Under the hood, this Six-Wheeled Suzuki Jimny retains its 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, delivering 99 horsepower through a four-speed automatic transmission. While the Jimny was never built for speed, the added third axle certainly doesn't make it any quicker. However, with brand-new all-terrain tires and two spare wheels included, this modified Jimny remains an eye-catching off-road machine. Still Available After Auction This Six-Wheeled Suzuki Jimny was recently listed for auction by Historics Auctioneers, with an estimated value between £40,000 and £50,000. However, the March 1 auction ended without a buyer. The auction house has confirmed that the vehicle is still available, and serious inquiries are welcome. With a valid MoT until February 2026 and a V5 registration document, this Six-Wheeled Suzuki Jimny is road-ready and could serve as a unique marketing vehicle or simply as a fun, head-turning ride. If you've ever wanted to own one of the most extraordinary Suzuki Jimny builds in existence, this is your chance. And if you do, be sure to take us for a spin!
