Putatan petanque tourney draws over 70 participants

Published on: Wed, Jul 23, 2025 Text Size: PUTATAN: The 2025 Putatan District Petanque Championship, held over two days at Arena Bakut, drew more than 70 participants from across the district. The event featured 42 male and 30 female players, competing in their respective categories. Held on July 19, the program was co-organised by Sabah's Ministry of Youth and Sports, Sendil Boules Sports Club, Pasir Putih Boules Club, and Ketiau Boules Club. Gagasan Rakyat Petagas Division Chief Mohd Isquzawan Israq Arsit said the event aimed to uncover new talent and strengthen community unity through healthy recreation. Mohamad Syahzamil Madarin Syahar Alli won the boys' 13–20 category, while Leeyana Fitrialesya Kamrudin topped the girls' category.
