UAE weather warning: 7 things to do in Abu Dhabi when it's horrid outside

As the end of summer approaches, Abu Dhabi has recently been kicking off the days in a blanket of thick fog. And with the National Centre of Meteorology rolling out early-morning alerts across the emirate, caution is being urged for drivers with any rain, dust, fog and stormy clouds that might be looming. While any bad weather often lifts fairly swiftly, it's likely the rest of the day won't exactly be cool and crisp – we're talking highs of 46°C in Abu Dhabi and hazy sunshine across much of the UAE. Wondering when summer will end? Here's what experts say So if you were planning a stroll or drive and get an alert, you might want to swap it for one of our indoor-friendly ideas instead. And trust us, not a single option will have you missing the great outdoors. Fog warning in Abu Dhabi: 7 things to do in Abu Dhabi when it's foggy

Abu Dhabi kicked off the day in a blanket of thick fog, with the National Centre of Meteorology rolling out an early-morning alert for parts of Al Dhafra – including Ghiyathi, Bad Dafas and stretches of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road. While the fog has mostly lifted, the rest of the day won't exactly be cool and crisp – we're talking highs of 46°C in Abu Dhabi and hazy sunshine across much of the UAE. Wondering when summer will end? Here's what experts say Authorities are urging drivers to keep it cautious, especially if the dust decides to make another appearance. So if you were planning a stroll or drive, you might want to swap it for one of our indoor-friendly fog day ideas instead. And trust us, not a single option will have you missing the great outdoors.
