Donia Samir Ghanem Wraps Filming Her New Comedy Rocky El Ghalaba, Hitting Cinemas on July 30
Donia Samir Ghanem has officially finished shooting her latest film, Rocky El Ghalaba, which will be released on July 30th as part of the Summer 2025 lineup. The film is a social comedy in which Donia plays a boxer who works as a personal bodyguard for a celebrity embodied by Mohamed Mamdouh. Together, they get caught up in a series of hilarious and heartwarming misadventures. Rocky El Ghalaba stars Donia Samir Ghanem, Mohamed Mamdouh, Mohamed Tharwat, Mohamed Radwan, and Salwa Othman, with special appearances by Ahmed Saad, Os Os, and more. The film was written by Kareem Youssef, produced by Mohamed Ahmed El Sobky, and directed by Ahmed El Gendy.

Mohamed Mamdouh Wins the Best Second Actor Award at Film Society Festival
Mohamed Mamdouh. Egyptian actor Mohamed Mamdouh has received the Best Second Actor Award at the 51st Annual Film Society Festival for "Ahl El Kahef" (People of the Cave), directed by Amr Arafa. Mamdouh expressed his gladness for receiving this award and taking part in this film, along with a big team. He mentioned that director Amr Arafa, Khaled El-Nabawy, Mohamed Farag and Ghada Adel were the main reasons behind making the work environment fun. Mamdouh added, "The story of "Ahl El Kahef" is historical. I liked the wars so much, particularly in the Roman times. It is a novel experience. I liked it a lot. I'm one of the 6 or 7 people in the cave. Events unfold over 300 years". The film's story is inspired by Tawfiq Al-Hakim's play. In a fictional setting, the film tells the story of some people who wake up from their sleep after three centuries. They find themselves in a time other than the time in which they lived before. Additionally, they live in a struggle with time. The film stars Mohamed Mamdouh, Khaled El-Nabawy, Mahmoud Hemdia, Ghada Adel, Mohamed Farag, Hagar Ahmed, Reem Mostafa, Ahmed Bedier, Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra, Ahmed Eid, and Sabry Fawwaz. It is written by Ayman Bahgat Kamar and directed by Amr Arafa.

El-Fashny established his profile through collaborations with singers and bands, such as Mohamed Tharwat, Mahmoud El-Tohamy, Ihab Yunis, Mohamed Sa'ad, Cairokee, and Basata. He has since made a name for himself as a leading performer in numerous shows. Tango After Dark - dance performance Saturday 15, Sunday 16 February, 8pm Main Hall, Cairo Opera House, Zamalek, Cairo When the night falls, the tango is revealed in its most authentic and pure form. Tango after Dark is an intimate and sensual performance with exquisitely danced choreography to the music by Astor Piazzolla. The show is directed and choreographed by an Argentinian World Tango Champion German Cornejo, who dances in the show joined by his partner and World Champion Gisela Galeassi. The stage also features other renowned tango masters. Andromida - music Sunday 16 February, 8pm Cairo Jazz Club, 197A 26th of July St., Mohandessin, Cairo One of the oldest active rock bands in Egypt, Andromida was formed by Amr Hassan and Ehab Al Qalie (keyboard and vocals). The band includes Hassan, Sherif El-Sharqawi (drums and vocals), and Ahmed Anwar (bass and vocals). Founded in Alexandria in 1987, the band is widely known for performing some of Pink Floyd's most well-known songs. The Hypnotist - film Sunday 16 February, 7pm (doors open at 6.30pm) Netherlands-Flemish Institute in Cairo, 1 Dr. Mahmoud Azmi Street, Zamalek, Cairo The 2019 documentary directed by Arthur Franck, The Hypnotist, follows Finland's most famous hypnotist of the 1980s, Olliver Hawk, who was put on trial accused of fraud. The film is a meditation on power, truth, and myths in Cold War Finland, told through the story of the Finnland's own Rasputin. The film is in Finnish language with English subtitles. Casino Badeea - music Monday 17 February, 8pm Room Art Space & Café, Spot Mall, New Cairo Casino Badeea (pronounced as Casino badi3a) is an Oriental branch of the Bohemian project that focuses on Cuban rhythms and jazz. The Casino Badeea presents early folkloric Egyptian tunes, taking listeners to the heart of Egypt in the 1920s. The singers are Mariam Salem and Rehab Khattab accompanied by musicians on oriental instruments, such as oud, nay, and percussions. Short link:

Mohamed Mamdouh to Star in His First Ramadan Radio Music Series
The Egyptian movie star goes from TV to radio with his new show 'Had Wakhd'. Feb 09, 2025 After signing a contract with NRJ Radio, 92.1, actor Mohamed Mamdouh will star in his first-ever musical radio show, 'Had Wakhd', which will air during Ramadan 2025. The show will be co-written by Mustafa Ibrahim and Ahmed Khaled, and will be directed by Zahra Ramy, Director of the Drama Department at NRJ. The Kuwaiti-born Egyptian actor initially got his start in theatre before moving to both TV and film. Mamdouh has appeared in TV shows such as 'Khalli Balak Min Zizi' and films such as 'The Blue Elephant'.
