Kota Kinabalu: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) accused Parti Warisan of trying to divert public attention from their failures when they were given the mandate to govern. 'The people of Sabah placed their trust in Warisan during the last state election. 'But what did Warisan do? Empty promises, political instability and weak governance. 'They couldn't even last a full term. Yet now they appear as if they're the 'local heroes',' said Likas Gagasan Rakyat's Chief Mohammad Bahrin Abd Karim in a statement. He was responding to Warisan Assemblyman Justin Wong who called on the Chief Minister and several Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) assemblymen to resign if they loved Sabah. 'Calling for leaders to step down based solely on unverified documents and wild speculation is irresponsible. 'We respect the legal process and leave it entirely to the MACC to conduct their investigation fairly and professionally,' he said, referring to the alleged mining scandal implicating several GRS assemblymen.
