A statement confirmed that funeral prayers for Al-Qassim will be held at the Grand Mosque in Makkah after Friday prayers on August 8, 2025, with burial to follow at the Al-Shuhada Cemetery in Al-Shara'i district. According to the official medical report issued by British authorities, the 21-year-old student died instantly after receiving a single stab wound to the neck measuring 11.5 centimeters deep. The report noted that the weapon used is typically associated with homicide and confirmed that the attacker was fully conscious and acted with clear intent to kill.
