Sultan's Special Force marks annual day
Muscat– The Sultan's Special Force (SSF) celebrated its annual day on March 15, alongside the graduation of a new batch of soldiers, under the patronage of H E Gen Sultan Mohammed al Nu'amani, Minister of Royal Office. The ceremony, featured a military parade, with the Royal Guard of Oman band playing the Royal Anthem as the graduates saluted the patron of the event. His Excellency inspected the parade and witnessed a slow-march display before presenting awards to the top graduates. The ceremony concluded with the graduates taking the oath of loyalty and chanting in honour of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. In recognition of dedicated service, His Excellency awarded the Excellent Service Medal and the Sultan's Commendation Medal to several senior officers, officers, and non-commissioned officers. Additionally, Major General Muslim bin Mohammed Jaboub, SSF Commander, presented the Special Service Medal and the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal to a number of SSF personnel. The event was attended by senior government officials, military and security commanders, and retired officers, highlighting the vital role of the Sultan's Special Force in safeguarding the nation.

Oman strengthens diplomatic ties with Afghanistan, Iraq, and Romania
Muscat – H E Gen Sultan Mohammed al Nu'amani, Minister of Royal Office, received Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, at his office today. The Afghan official, accompanied by a delegation, is on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman. During the meeting, both sides exchanged cordial discussions and reviewed the progress of bilateral relations, exploring ways to enhance cooperation for mutual benefit. Omar Ghulam Rasouli, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Oman was also in attendance. Meanwhile, the minister also met Qais Saad Al Amri, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Sultanate of Oman. The discussions focused on strengthening existing cooperation between the two nations and addressing regional and international matters of shared interest. His Excellency also received Florin Marius, Romania's Ambassador to Oman, on the occasion of the conclusion of his tenure. His Excellency commended the ambassador's efforts in reinforcing bilateral ties and joint cooperation, wishing him success in his future endeavours. In response, Ambassador Marius expressed his gratitude for the support and collaboration he had received, highlighting the strong relations between Oman and Romania. These meetings reaffirm Oman's commitment to fostering international partnerships and engaging in diplomatic dialogue on regional and global matters.
