How momfluencer Bobbi Althoff went from Internet's biggest stars to quitting podcast amid divorce drama
Momfluencer Bobbi Althoff became an Internet sensation due to her awkward interviews with rap stars but it appears her blase humor has run its course.
On July 31, the 27-year-old announced the end of her once-popular series The Really Good Podcast.
Her personal life also took a serious hit in last February when her husband Cory Althoff filed for divorce after four years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
Bobbi said in the final episode of her podcast: 'I didn't know I'd fall off as quickly as I did. To be honest, I did think this was going to last a bit longer.
'But, nevertheless, it lasted a minute and I'm proud of the accomplishments I had and I'm pretty sad that it has to end like this - but it's OK.'
Over two years ago, Bobbi's deadpan interview with Drake, released in July 2023, quickly racked up close to ten million views and turned the mom-of-two into social media's most viral comedian.
Interviews with Mark Cuban, Offset, Scarlett Johansson, and Shaquille O'Neal soon followed, as well as lucrative brand deals and a spot on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list.
However, Bobbi's rise to fame was far from smooth-sailing, and the influencer sparked waves criticism almost immediately after her breakout moment.
The first hiccup was a public falling out with Drake, which led to their viral episode of her series being wiped from her channel.
The pair unfollowed each other on social media and. in 2024. Bobbi was allegedly removed from the rapper's afterparty at the South by Southwest festival in Texas.
Around the same time, critics accused her of being an 'industry plant', due to the fact that she'd been able to start booking A-list guests on her podcast so soon.
Bobbi jokingly confirmed to actress Keke Palmer that she was an 'industry plant' in a podcast interview last year, and she also made light of the accusations on TikTok.
Bobbi's ex-husband Cory listed their official separation date as July, 2023, which aligned with the timing of her viral Drake interview.
The split led to her being trolled on social media, which she addressed in a fiery post last year: 'Do you really believe that it was my dream in life to be a divorced mom of two kids by 25? Obviously not.
'I'm obviously insecure about it and wish things played out differently in my life. But that's life. Things don't always end up how we expect them to.'
She was also forced to deny cruel claims that she had been sleeping with her male podcast guests and that had contributed to the demise of her marriage.
News of the end of her podcast came after she'd signed a new deal for the show with Studio71 last year.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bobbi's working on a TV comedy series after she landed a development deal for her own show.
