Nozipho Ntshangase's husband of 17 years marries second wife
Nozipho previously opened up about the pain caused by her husband's decision to take a second wife. The Mommy Club star Nozipho Ntshangase's husband of more than 17 years, Zola Ntshangase, has officially taken a second wife. In a statement issued in March 2024, Zola confirmed he was taking another wife, revealing that lobola negotiations were underway at the time. He also condemned social media backlash directed at his soon-to-be second wife. 'I have noted the media outroar and backlash misdirected towards the name of my soon-to-be second wife, Ms Misokuhle. The disparaging remarks levelled at Ms Misokuhle are tantamount to unfair treatment characterised by abuse and stigmatisation,' the statement added. This past weekend, Zola and his 25-year-old bride, Misokuhle Nomsheshe, celebrated their union with a traditional wedding ceremony. Misokuhle has since shared images and videos from the lavish celebration on her Instagram page. In an episode from the show's second season, Nozipho opened up about the emotional toll the decision had taken on her and her children. 'The plan has changed, and I find that this plan has changed only to bring me pain and to bring my kids pain. So, I am not happy with the plan, and I don't think it's fair because what am I going to do? 'You spend 17 years building with someone, you spend your whole life not having to worry if someone will be there for birthdays and Christmases. You spend the rest of your life planning that when we are both 50 years old, we are going to do this and that — and then suddenly, out of nowhere, the plan changes,' Nozipho said, tearing up. Watching this really broke my heart. Strength to Nozi and her family. 🍃✨#TheMommyClub — Cinnamon Pigment🍁 (@Phee_Lebeko) April 1, 2024 Tjo Nozipho's husband is gone, like really gone. Calls to cancel 'The Mommy Club' after reunion drama and claims of scene cuts
Fans of The Mommy Club are calling for the reality series to be cancelled after the airing of the first part of the Season 3 reunion, which sparked outrage over alleged scene omissions and lack of focus on the show's original premise of motherhood. The criticism reached boiling point after reality star Kabelo Jantjies, known on the show as Mrs J, took to social media to express her disappointment with the show's production team. She alleged that scenes featuring her children were cut from the show without explanation. 'Week in, week out, we all had hopes that the scene with my children would play, but it did not. No explanation, nothing. I really feel like my children were discriminated [against] from day one till the very last,' she wrote. Mrs J's frustration grew when she discovered her children had not been invited to the reunion shoot. 'I mean, not even an invite for the reunion,' she said. Mrs J said this exclusion led to her withdrawing from filming the second part of the special, set to air on Saturday. 'As a mother, my number one role is to always and forever protect my kids, hence I couldn't finish the reunion. I was not going to sit there when my child was not invited without any solid reason or explanation,' she said. 'How do you explain to the child why they are not invited? But anyway, as unkind as it is, we move on. Hope you all enjoy part 2 of the reunion.' Her comments have ignited a broader discussion online, where viewers are voicing their own concerns over the show's direction. Many feel that The Mommy Club has strayed from its original focus on parenting, children and the lives of the moms beyond the drama. On social media platform X user Lebogang Mogajane said the show has lost the plot. 'I hear you, however Mommy Club lost the plot. They focused too much on the drama between the mommies. Season one was full of moments with the kids and even nannies, but this season? It was all about the moms,' said Mogajane. Another user, Viola Tsipa, pointed to behind-the-scenes decisions that seem to undermine the show's premise. 'Recently watched a podcast where Ratile was a guest and she mentioned how there's way more scenes with her kids shot but never made it to our screen. Just confirmed there and then that the name is just a front,' he said. The Season 3 reunion, which began airing this past Friday, opened with apologies and tense exchanges among cast members, as the women attempted to confront one another over gossip and unresolved issues. Before the reunion aired, Mrs J stated in an interview she planned to use the opportunity to clear the air. 'I would like to use the reunion as an opportunity to address what needs to be addressed fully. I couldn't believe some of the comments made behind my back. As mothers, I hope we can iron out our differences and see if there's a way forward,' she said. True to her word, Mrs J did not hold back. She confronted her co-stars, particularly Mrs Sande, for allegedly mocking her ancestral calling. But she was also challenged herself when fellow cast member Vuyi questioned her about controversial comments she had made about Pheladi, who did not attend the reunion. As part two of the reunion approaches, fans appear more disillusioned than excited. Many are demanding accountability from the producers, citing the disconnect between the show's branding and its content.

‘I have nothing to hide' – Her Majesty ahead of The Mommy Club reunion
We've seen the drama. We've seen the explosive conversations. We've witnessed friendships form and break. And we've judged the mommies of Joburg. Now it's time for them to face each other and for us to sip on some tea. Hosted by Ntombee Ngcobo-Mzobe, the reunion promises to answer all the burning questions and get to the bottom of every storyline that happened on and off the screen. The first part of the reunion will premiere on 17 May and the second part on 24 May, exclusively on Showmax. Ahead of The Mommy Club reunion, here's how the cast is feeling. Hermajesty: 'I'm stepping into this reunion with nothing to hide. It's time to put everything on the table, the truths, the tension, and every unspoken word. There's a lot that needs to be unpacked.' Mrs J: 'I would like to use the reunion as an opportunity to address what needs to be addressed fully. I couldn't believe some of the comments made behind my back. As mothers, I hope we can iron out our differences and see if there's a way forward.' Mrs Sande: 'I'm genuinely looking forward to this reunion. The streets want answers: why was I so spicy? Well, I'm here to give them. This season, I found my voice, and I have no regrets. I'm coming with an open heart and an open mind but I'm not holding back.' Noksie: 'There's a calmness in me I didn't expect because I know my truth. I've been painted a certain way, but now, I'm taking my power back. Some people owe me apologies, and while I'm ready to own my part, I won't ignore the intentional hurt that was sent my way. I feel stronger, more grounded and ready for anything.' Vuyi: 'I'm walking into this reunion with clarity and conviction. I'm in good spirits, but I'm not here to sugar-coat anything. My goal is to hold myself accountable and expect the same from everyone else. There's been too much deflecting. It's time we all own the roles we played in the chaos.'
