The next WWE Premium Live Event is only two days away as of writing. 12 male and female WWE superstars will battle it out for a chance to win the Money In The Bank briefcase for a guaranteed title shot. Here's your complete guide to WWE Money In The Bank 2025 including UK start time, pre-show start time, matches announced and when the company is back in the UK New and returning fans of the WWE might not want to miss the crash-and-burn spectacle of the annual Money In The Bank PLE this weekend, making its debut on Netflix. Considered one of the wildest match types the company has to offer, the unpredictable nature of the ladder matches and what the winners will do with their 'anytime, anywhere' title shot makes for must-see viewing – could they cash in at a later date or, in the case of some, the very same evening? Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad However, away from the carnage of the MITB matches, there are two very interesting bouts: John Cena, in his quest to ruin pro wrestling, is tagging up with someone many considered the 'antithesis' of wrestling – Logan Paul – against the WWE's Quarterback, Cody Rhodes, and current World Heavyweight Champion, Jey Uso. John Cena continues his quest to 'ruin' wrestling as he tags up with YouTuber Logan Paul to battle Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso at Money In The Bank 2025. | WWE Cena's reasoning for tagging with the controversial YouTube star? Because nothing could ruin wrestling more than a celebrity or influencer holding onto a wrestling title that many have spent years honing their craft to even step foot inside a wrestling ring. Meanwhile, Becky Lynch is looking to beat some respect into current WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria, with the title on the line and a matter of respect: should Valkyria lose, she will have to raise the hand of 'The Man' and acknowledge she is the better wrestler. Not content with just Money In The Bank, this weekend will also see stars of NXT and AAA collide with the WWE Worlds Collide PLE, which takes place just before Money In The Bank – and should be available to stream on the WWE's YouTube channel. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad With so much taking place in the WWE Universe across the summer, here's not only a look at this weekend's Premium Live Event, but a history of Money In The Bank cash-ins, when WWE is returning to the United Kingdom, and what the next Premium Live Event will be after this weekend. What is the Money In The Bank match? The Money In The Bank match sees six wrestlers in a ladder match, with a briefcase dangling above the ring. The objective is for one of the wrestlers to successfully climb the ladder to retrieve the briefcase - allowing them a title shot of their choosing anytime, any place, anywhere. It can lead to car crash television and some of the most memorable moments in WWE history, and a lot of carnage if previous iterations of the match are anything to go by. The idea was conceived by Chris Jericho (as we keep kayfabe alive) ahead of WrestleMania 21 back in 2005; Edge was the first ever Money In The Bank winner, which led to his first reign as a WWE World Champion a year later - more about that below. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Who has won the Money In The Bank contract before? 31 superstars have won the Money In The Bank briefcase since the inception of the match, with the first female Money In The Bank winner crowned in 2017. Of those 31 superstars, only five have tried to cash in and lost, including John Cena - who was the first to lose after trying to cash in back in 2012. Tensions look to mount even more as WWE Undisputed Champion John Cena and former champion Cody Rhodes will be in the same vicinity. Here's your preview for this evening's WWE Smackdown, the UK start time on Netflix and a look at the current card for WWE Money In The Bank 2025. It's set to be another action-packed episode of WWE Smackdown this evening, as the final few Money In The Bank qualifying matches take place before the PLE next month. With two slots remaining on both the men's and women's sides, two more qualifying bouts are set to take place tonight in Knoxville, Tennessee – and there's a homecoming for the EST of the WWE planned too! Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad But the big news tonight will be former and current WWE Champions, Cody Rhodes and John Cena, appearing under the same roof after Cody's shock return to the company. While Cena has continued his quest to 'ruin' professional wrestling, what will Rhodes say to the man who turned his back on the fans and, quite possibly, the business he once loved? Here's your preview for WWE Smackdown this evening, the start time in the United Kingdom, and what matches have currently been confirmed for the upcoming Money In The Bank PLE event, taking place on June 7, 2025. WWE Smackdown preview - May 30 2025 Cody Rhodes and John Cena - under one roof Will it be an explosive episode of WWE Smackdown this evening, as the Champ and the Quarterback reside under the same roof? |Cody Rhodes made his return to WWE for the first time since his WrestleMania loss last week, charging the ring to save Jey Uso during his World Heavyweight Championship defense against Logan Paul. During that match, John Cena – who believes a 'YouTuber' world champion would 'ruin wrestling' and is committed to fulfilling his promise before retirement – interfered to assist Paul. However, it was the WWE's Quarterback who ensured no shenanigans would pay off. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Tonight, the pair are under the same roof. And with Rhodes still seething after losing the championship he fought so hard to win and finish his story, saying 'sparks are set to fly' might not even do justice to the powder-keg the WWE Universe finds itself standing on. Bianca Belair's Homecoming to Knoxville Bianca Belair is set to make an appearance in her hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee, this evening. Questions are swirling about what's next for the Women's Triple Crown Champion. After unsuccessfully challenging for the WWE Women's Championship at WrestleMania, what are her objectives now? Is the Women's North American Championship a possibility for the EST on the blue brand? Money In The Bank Qualifier: Jacob Fatu v Andrade v Carmelo Hayes With two more spots to fill in the men's Money In The Bank ladder match, Solo Sikoa can only hope that Jacob Fatu qualifies to join him in this high-stakes, high-risk bout at the next Premium Live Event. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad However, trouble is brewing between the pair. Since the introduction of JC Mateo (former NJPW and Lucha Underground star Jeff Cobb), there's been a distinct lack of trust between Fatu and the man he once professed to 'love.' Adding to the animosity in the match, Andrade and Carmelo Hayes look to pick up where they left off earlier in the year, after a sensational best-of-seven series brought out the best in both. Will they be too distracted by each other instead of focusing on 'The Samoan Werewolf'? Money In The Bank Qualifier: Jade Cargill v Nia Jax v Naomi Much like the men's Money In The Bank ladder match, there are two more slots to fill in the women's equivalent – and this triple threat is full of bad blood. Jade Cargill and Naomi have been involved in a torrid feud since the revelation that Naomi intentionally injured Cargill, thus replacing her in a tag team alongside Bianca Belair. Ever since that admission, Naomi has made it her personal task to ruin Cargill at every chance she gets. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad But the X-factor is, of course, Nia Jax. The former WWE Women's Champion will be looking to qualify for the ladder match and, perhaps, cash in on Tiffany Stratton – her once-time partner who just so happened to cash in her Money In The Bank briefcase to win the coveted title from Jax. What time is WWE Smackdown airing in the United Kingdom this evening? The latest episode of WWE Smackdown is scheduled to broadcast on Netflix in the United Kingdom from 1am BST on May 31 2025. What matches have currently been announced for Money In The Bank 2025? Alongside the men's and women's Money In The Bank ladder matches (which grant a title shot anytime, anywhere), the event will also feature John Cena teaming with social media influencer Logan Paul against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso, and Becky Lynch's last chance at the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship against Lyra Valkyria. Money In The Bank 2025 - current match card Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso v John Cena and Logan Paul WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship : Lyra Valkyria (c) v Becky Lynch (if Lyra loses, she will be forced to raise Lynch's hand and 'recognise' her as the 'better woman') : Lyra Valkyria (c) v Becky Lynch (if Lyra loses, she will be forced to raise Lynch's hand and 'recognise' her as the 'better woman') Men's Money In The Bank ladder match : Solo Sikoa v LA Knight v Penta v Seth Rollins v TBD v TBD : Solo Sikoa v LA Knight v Penta v Seth Rollins v TBD v TBD Women's Money In The Bank ladder match: Alexa Bliss v Roxanne Perez v Rhea Ripley v Giulia v TBD v TBD Do you have an event you'd like to share with us? Rumor Killer on WWE ‘Re-Doing' Carmella's Money In The Bank Win

In WWE history, there is only one female Superstar who has won the Money in The Bank Ladder match twice. It is none other than the Princess of Staten Island, Carmella. She won the match back in June of 2017 at the Money In The Bank PLE. It was the first ever Women's Money In The Bank Ladder match. She did it with the help of her henchman, James Ellsworth. A week later on SmackDown, a rematch took place and again Carmella won the match. At the Premium Live Event, James Ellsworth, who was the former SmackDown Women's Champion's henchman at the time, was the one who grabbed the briefcase and handed it over to Carmella. Then, in the rematch, the Staten Island Princess managed to climb up the ladder and grab the briefcase on her own. Of course, at times Ellsworth did help her. Advertisement There had been rumors for a long time that the only reason the rematch took place on an episode of SmackDown Live because there was a lot of fan backlash from James Ellsworth being the first person to retrieve the briefcase in the first-ever Women's Money In The Ladder Match. Recently, James Ellsworth took to Twitter to respond to a fan who reiterated the above-mentioned rumor. Ellsworth shared that the rematch was always the plan. Both Carmella and Ellsworth knew about the rematch even before the PLE match. 'Actually not true. We always knew we were doing the second one before the first one happened; we did a rehearsal the next day for the second one . But you know 'internet,'' James Ellsworth tweeted. What are your thoughts on the Money In The Bank Ladder Match rematch? The post Rumor Killer on WWE 'Re-Doing' Carmella's Money In The Bank Win appeared first on Wrestlezone.

We're almost a week removed from the events at WWE Backlash 2025, and WWE Smackdown returns to North Carolina this evening. Last week's PLE saw John Cena retain the WWE Undisputed Championship against Randy Orton, but not without controversy. The clock is now ticking on Cena's potential retirement and the possibility of him taking the title with him. With the next WWE PLE, Money In The Bank, offering a title shot at the holder's discretion, the question is: will someone attempt to take the title from Cena, or will they challenge the current World Heavyweight Champion, 'Main Event' Jey Uso?
