Monmouth Rotary Club to distribute nearly £5,700 to groups
Monmouth Rotary Club's support for the local community is set to be celebrated at a special event.
The club will hold a Community Awards and networking evening at Shire Hall.
During the event, the club will give out grants totalling nearly £5,700.
The money will go to eight different local groups.
These are Mayhem Theatre Group, 1st Wyesham Scouts, Monmouth Foodbank, The Two Rivers Meadow Project, Chippenham Park Fun Run, The Friends of The River Wye, and Monmouth Comprehensive School.
Each group will explain how the money will help them over the next year.
The Rotary Club hopes the evening will encourage new people to join and help with their continued support of St David's Hospice, Velindre Breast Cancer Research, and other charities.
The event will take place on Friday, June 20.
