Monro Inc. recently announced 145 stores were closing across the U.S. after reporting a 4.9% decrease in sales in the 2025 fiscal year ending March 29, according to the company's latest earnings report released by president and CEO Peter Fitzsimmons.
Company leaders identified key areas to boost sales and earnings, including closing the doors to more than 100 "underperforming stores," said Fitzsimmons, a partner and managing director of global consulting firm AlixPartners. Fitzsimmons replaced former president Michael Broderick on March 31.
Here's what we know:

Monro Inc. officials did not return IndyStar emails seeking comment or to verify information.
