Morad, who was pregnant with her second child, suffered complications from a viral infection and was placed in intensive care in late January before succumbing to the illness. Her mother, in a Facebook post, mourned the loss of her daughter and recalled the suffering she endured in her final days. 'May God have mercy on you, my daughter,' she wrote. Alarming final messages Concerns over Morad's health grew after she posted a distressing message on Facebook: 'I am dying, forgive me.' Her husband, Samer, later used her account to plead for prayers, writing: 'Angie is in a difficult situation between life and death. Please pray for her.' Health complications and reports According to Lebanese media, Morad's condition worsened after she contracted a virus during pregnancy, leading to severe lung complications. Syrian news sources suggested she had been battling pneumonia before being moved to intensive care. Career and legacy Born in Damascus in 1992, Morad began her acting career in 2008 after graduating from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts. She gained recognition with roles in Syrian drama series such as Al Gharib and Baqaa Daw 13 before taking a hiatus in 2020. She recently returned to television with Souq Al Haramia, which premiered on January 19. Beyond acting, Morad gained international attention in 2017 when she won the title of Miss Asia World. Morad suffered a health emergency and was transferred to a hospital, where she was in critical condition in the last week of January.
