Kneecap reassert support for Palestine in new music video
Irish rap trio Kneecap have reasserted their support for Palestine in the music video for new song The Recap.
The video, which satires Tory Party leader Kemi Badenoch, follows their controversial Glastonbury appearance and was initially released via their WhatsApp group in late May.
Talking about the new promo clip, director Finn Keenan said: "It took a lot of incredibly talented and passionate people to come together to make this video in just over a week.
"And I can't believe the trust and support we got from Kneecap and their team. A once in a lifetime kind of job. So grateful to each and every one of yiz. More Blacks, More Dogs, More Irish, Mo Chara."
The Derry/Belfast trio collaborated with drum and bass producer Mozey and the track received its live debut at their headline appearance at this year's Wide Awake Festival in Brockwell Park, London.
Heavenly Recordings have also announced details of a very limited 7" release of The Recap, which will be available in select record shops across Ireland.
Kneecap have faced a barrage of criticism in recent months for their vocal support for Palestine amid the ongoing war with Israel.
They have earned support from Noel Gallagher, Elton John, Amyl & The Sniffers, Paul Weller, Primal Scream, and Massive Attack.
Kneecap are due to play the Vital Festival with Fontaines D.C. in Belfast on 29 August, Electric Picnic in Laois in late August, the 3Arena, Dublin on 16 and 17 December, and a headline show at Wembley Arena in London in September.
