Cambium Networks announces three hospitality Wi-Fi upgrades

Networking solutions company Cambium Networks has provided the ONE Network solution to properties in Italy, Tennessee, and Hawaii, aiding in Wi-Fi upgrades. This move has improved coverage and reduced support calls, with success at DelParco Hotel in Udine, Italy; Maples Motor Inn in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; and a selection of Hawaiian resorts upgraded by Pacific DirectConnect. Cambium Networks CEO Morgan Kurk said: 'With our hospitality solutions, boutique properties can outperform brand flags on connectivity without an army of IT staff.' DelParco Hotel has seen an improvement in its network capabilities after replacing multiple legacy systems with Cambium's comprehensive solution stack. The installation includes the NSE 3000 next-generation firewall, EX2028P/EX1028P switches, XV2-22H wall plate APs, and XV2-21X APs, all managed by the cnMaestro X cloud. This upgrade has allowed guests to enjoy 4K streaming without buffering while the hotel's staff benefit from faster application performance and zero unplanned downtime. DelParco Hotel's owner Paolo Meroi said: 'The solution installed by Giemme Soluzioni allows us to offer uncompromised connectivity that aligns with the high standards and image of our facility.' The impact of the upgrades is quantifiable, with DelParco Hotel experiencing a 75% reduction in Wi-Fi support calls and a rise in online travel agency (OTA) survey scores for "internet quality". Cambium partner Quickrelay played a crucial role in this by installing 40 XV2-21X Wi-Fi 6 access points, which led to a substantial decrease in guest Wi-Fi complaints and a 30-point increase in OTA scores. In Hawaii, Pacific DirectConnect has also reaped the benefits of Cambium's technology by efficiently covering extensive resort areas with strong Wi-Fi signals using fewer outdoor APs. The switch to just six XV2-23T units from a planned 14 has resulted in a 60% reduction in hardware. Over 1,000 hotels in more than 70 countries are using Cambium's ONE Network architecture, which ensures that all devices are centrally managed through cnMaestro to provide a unified view for Wi-Fi, switching, and security. In Italy, these solutions are distributed by Giemme Soluzioni, a part of Cambium's global network of authorised hospitality MSPs and resellers. This global ecosystem is further strengthened by Cambium's partnership with digital technology company Nonius last year, focusing on hotel Wi-Fi connectivity solutions.
