Cattle excited at Nelson's return to Cornish Pirates
Cornish Pirates joint head coach Gavin Cattle says Morgan Nelson's return to the club is a big boost for next hooker, 25, will rejoin the Championship outfit in the summer having moved to Premiership side Gloucester in October. The former Wales Under-18 player struggled to break into the Cherry and Whites' side, playing for them only in the Premiership Rugby Cup and European Challenge Cattle says the forward, who helped Pirates to a best-ever second place in the Championship last season, is still an excellent player:"The opportunity didn't quite work out at Gloucester for him, but we still feel he's got that ability to bounce back up," Cattle told BBC Radio Cornwall."He was a really integral part of our group down here, so to bring him back, and after his experience up at Gloucester, I'm sure we are going to get a better player for that as well."Pirates have extended the deal of a number of the squad, as well as agreeing to sign Exeter's Chester Ribbons permanently and bring in Welsh back Ben Cambriani. "We're cutting our cloth as a club, as we always do," Cattle said about new additions to the squad."We're pretty happy with the quality we've kept together."We know we need to add to that a bit later on in pre-season, but we're on a firm footing and we've got some good quality coming in as well."

Hooker Nelson to re-join Cornish Pirates
Hooker Morgan Nelson has agreed to return to Cornish Pirates in the summer. The 25-year-old joined Premiership side Gloucester in October after almost four years at the Championship club, where he had scored 19 tries in 49 appearances. But the former Wales Under 18 player has struggled to break into the Cherry and Whites' side, playing exclusively in the Premiership Rugby Cup and European Challenge Cup. "Before he left us Morgan was rightly earmarked as one of the best hookers in the Championship, and he now has the experience of having been involved at a top-level environment," Cornish Pirates joint-head coach Alan Paver said. "We are clearly delighted that he'll be back with us, as he is still young and ambitious and has a lot of rugby ahead of him yet. "It's a massive plus because he knows our set up, will fit back in easily, and he is one of those players who adds something extra, both on and off the field." Cornish Pirates
