Italian Embassy in Kuwait celebrates Italy's National Day
KUWAIT: The Italian Embassy in Kuwait hosted a reception on Monday at the Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel to celebrate Italy's National Day. In his opening remarks, Italian Ambassador to Kuwait Lorenzo Morini expressed his deep appreciation to Kuwait and its people, stating: 'I thank Kuwait and all our Kuwaiti friends for your friendship and daily support. I am confident that together we can significantly grow the relationship between our two countries.' He emphasized that the Kuwaiti-Italian partnership is a model of fruitful cooperation, built on mutual trust and shared values, noting, 'The political dialogue between our countries is excellent, and our collaboration in the fields of security and economics is thriving.' He added that Italy and Kuwait also work side by side on the international stage to promote peace, dialogue, multilateralism, and support for developing countries. The Italian Ambassador indicated the Kuwaiti people's admiration for Italian culture, explaining: 'Here in Kuwait, I found a deep passion and genuine love for all things 'Made in Italy' from our traditions to our lifestyle.' Ambassador Morini recognized the role of the Italian community in Kuwait, referring to them as Italy's true flag abroad, praising their contribution to strengthening the image of their country and enhancing bilateral ties. He concluded his remarks by reaffirming his commitment to continuing close cooperation with Kuwaiti authorities throughout his tenure, highlighting the depth of friendship between the two countries. The event was attended by Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, along with ambassadors and several high-ranking officials from the Kuwaiti government.

Italian Ambassador Praises Strong Kuwait-Italy Ties in National Day Message
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 27: The Italian Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Lorenzo Morini, congratulated the State of Kuwait on the occasion of Country's National Day and Liberation Day. H.E. Morini said in a statement, 'In my name and on behalf of the Government and people of Italy, I am pleased to extend my warmest and heartfelt congratulations to His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, to H.H. the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, to the Kuwaiti Government and the friendly people of Kuwait, on the occasion of the celebration of the National Day and the Liberation Day." Ambassador Morini stressed that there is great Italian interest in Kuwait, especially since Italy views Kuwait as an advanced model of stability, tolerance and democracy. He pointed to the depth of the historical relations between the two countries, which have developed into a long-term dynamic partnership in all fields, describing them as of great importance in advancing the path of bilateral relations between Kuwait and Italy to broader horizons, adding that these distinguished historical relations extend for decades to include various economic, developmental, investment, political and cultural fields. Ambassador Morini concluded his message wishing Kuwait and its people continued stability, peace and prosperity under its wise leadership

Italian Ambassador supports Kuwaiti athletes ahead of Special Olympics
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 27: Italian Ambassador to Kuwait Lorenzo Morini commended Kuwait's dedication to supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities and highlighted the nation's efforts to enhance their inclusion in all aspects of life. In a statement during his reception of the Kuwaiti delegation set to participate in the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin, Italy, from March 8 to 15, Ambassador Morini emphasized the embassy's commitment to facilitating the delegation's preparations. He assured that all necessary measures were being taken to create a supportive environment for the athletes, reflecting the strong and enduring ties between Italy and Kuwait. The Ambassador expressed pride in Italy hosting this prestigious global event and welcomed the participation of Kuwaiti athletes with intellectual disabilities. He wished the delegation success, hoping their achievements would further enrich Kuwait's impressive record in disability-inclusive sports. Rehab Bursli, National Director of the Special Olympics Kuwait, shared that the Kuwaiti team would compete in the ice skating and ice running events with three athletes representing the country. She reaffirmed Kuwait Special Olympics' commitment to equipping athletes with the tools and resources needed to showcase an admirable image of Kuwaiti sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities on the world stage.
