Gathering spaces stand out in Morrison's Sable

Sometimes a sitting area is just a place to relax. In other cases, it delivers something special. Article content This both improves the experience of the people who live in the home and supports fond, lasting memories of friends and family who visit. Article content An example of this characteristic can be seen in the Sable by Morrison Homes. This is a 1,663-square-foot, semi-attached, two-bedroom model by Morrison Homes. Article content A show home demonstrating this floor plan is now open in Sirocco at Pine Creek. This is a southwest Calgary community about 10 minutes south of the amenity-rich Shawnessy Shopping Centre and Spruce Meadows, respectively. Article content The welcoming 13-foot by 13-foot six-inch great room boasts a towering, eye-catching vaulted ceiling. This is a distinctive feature that sets an upscale tone. Article content It's easy to imagine the family who lives in this home occupying this space to stream their favourite series at the end of the day. With the aforementioned floor space, people can gather around this island to either help with meal preparation or relax and chat. Article content Article content The kitchen is shown with stainless steel appliances, such as a fridge with french doors and chimney-style hood fan. Article content Directly across from the kitchen is a 12-foot by 12-foot eight-inch dining area. With this orientation, someone can be standing behind the island and maintain eye contact while speaking to someone seated at the dinner table. Article content In the show home, the dining area is staged with a table that seats six people. However, based on this being an open-concept design, there is space to fit a longer table short-term to support more substantial get-togethers, such as holiday meals. Article content Next to the dining area are well-sized sliding glass doors that access an optional deck. In warmer weather, it's easy to imagine one using this deck to barbecue. After pulling steaks and burgers off the grill, there's a direct path to the dinner table.
