Egyptian official reacts to Ambush in Khan Yunis that killed four Israeli soldiers
Egyptian journalist and parliamentarian Mostafa Bakry stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's belief that 'occupying Gaza and annihilating many of its people' would force them into submission is merely an 'illusion.' In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Bakry commented on the losses sustained by the Israeli army in battles in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, yesterday. He asserted that 'the catastrophe of the Israeli dead in Khan Yunis confirms that the Palestinian people will not kneel and that the resistance will not end as long as the rights of the Palestinian people remain trampled.' Bakry continued: 'Netanyahu is deluded if he thinks that occupying Gaza and annihilating many of its people is enough to impose a surrender plan. The Palestinian people do not know defeat or kırılma, and peace will only be achieved with the return of rights and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.' On Friday, the Israeli army announced the killing of four soldiers in a building collapse in the Bani Suheila neighborhood of Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, due to an explosive device detonating on Friday morning. The Israeli army spokesperson confirmed the deaths of Reserve Major General Chen Gros, 33, a soldier in the Magian unit of the Commando Brigade; Sergeant Yoav River, 19, from the Warburg unit, a soldier in the Yahalom unit of the Combat Engineering Corps; and two other soldiers whose families have been notified but whose names have not yet been authorized for publication. The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the number of Israeli soldiers killed since the start of the war on Gaza has risen to 866 following the ambush in Khan Yunis. Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, commented on the Israeli army's losses. In a statement, he said: 'What the occupation incurred today in losses in Khan Yunis and Jabalia is an extension of a series of qualitative operations, and a model of what the occupation forces will face everywhere they are present.' He added in a statement on the Telegram platform on Friday: 'The enemy public has no choice but to force their leadership to stop the war of annihilation or prepare to receive more of their sons in coffins.'

Egyptian MP condemns Israel's brutal war, says it can never erase Palestine
Egyptian media personality and parliamentarian Mostafa Bakry condemned Israel's war on Gaza, stating that no matter how much 'destruction or killing' is involved it can never erase Palestine's identity or presence on its land. He added that resistance is a legitimate right. During his show 'Haqayek Wa Asrar' (Facts and Secrets) on Thursday, Bakry warned that what is happening now could drag the region into 'dire consequences that no one can bear.' He continued that the current situation is 'extremely dangerous', as Israel continues its 'genocide and destruction' in Gaza. Bakry added that what is happening is harming 'our people and our national security.' Israel will not be able to expand as it wishes, he said, stressing that 'the Arab nation will remain, and the moment will come when they (the Israelis) will pay the price.' He extended 'A message I hope every (Zionist) will understand… Netanyahu wants to drive you to hell, and you are the ones who will pay the price for this madness. So stand firm and commit to the reconstruction initiative and political horizon proposed by Egypt.' 'If you want your own interests served, you have this choice. But if you want to bury a people underground, that people will emerge to raise the Palestinian flag, and the land will be liberated, whether you like it or not.' He noted the Israeli government's arrogance bolstered by the international silence on the genocide it is committing. Israel will never be able to disarm Hamas because it is a resistance movement, he said, and called for an end to the occupation.

As The 'Qatargate' Investigation Unfolds In Israel, Egyptian Journalists And MPs Accuse Qatar Of Conspiring Against Egypt
Details of the "Qatargate" investigation in Israel that have been exposed indicate that Qatar may have paid advisors to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to convey to journalists articles on the issue of the Israel-Hamas hostage deal presenting Qatar in a positive light, while at the same time spreading negative messages about Egypt and downplaying its role as an honest broker in the negotiations between Israel and Hamas. Following the exposure of these details, Egyptian members of parliament and journalists attacked Qatar on X, accusing it of conspiring against Egypt, paying bribes to tarnish Egypt's reputation and to cast aspersions on its role as mediator. They said that Qatar is continuing to act against Egypt, both in secret and openly, as it has done in the past, and that unfortunately it seems that Egypt must protect itself from its Arab sisters. One journalist even claimed that Qatar was continuing to provide aid and funds to the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) in Egypt with the aim of bringing Egypt to anarchy. At the same time, other journalists stressed that Egypt is a strong and great state that stands fast against the sponsored campaigns against it. This report will present some of the enraged Egyptian journalists' and MPs' statements about Qatar: Egyptian MP: Attempting To Harm Egypt Is "An Ideology For Some Senior Qatari Officials" Egyptian MP and media personality Mostafa Bakry posted on his X account on April 3, 2025: "The Qatargate scandal proves that attempting to undermine and besmirch and damage Egypt's role constitutes an ideology for some senior Qatari officials... The Qatargate scandal has proven that there are those who continue to scheme, in secret and openly, against Egypt, its role, its security, and its stability. Egypt is great, its positions are honorable and it operates for the benefit of the Islamic nation, with no expectation of gratitude from anyone, so why do some of the people persist in conspiring [against it]!?" [1] April 3, 2025 Former Egyptian MP: There Is Nothing Dirtier Than An Arab Country That Pays Money To Vilify Another Arab Country In an April 2, 2025 post on his X account, former Egyptian MP Mohamed Abu Hamed wrote: "To tell the truth, I never say anything dirtier than an Arab country paying money in order to vilify the role played by another Arab country and create an imaginary role for itself. Unfortunately, I think that Egypt must beware of its brother Arabs more than its enemies..." [2] April 2, 2025. Egyptian MP: Bribery And Television Channels Will Not Help Empower "The Dwarf" – i.e. Qatar Mahmoud Badar, journalist and Egyptian MP, posted on his X account about "the dwarf," hinting at the tiny country of Qatar: "Oh dwarf, oh little one, bribery, TV channels, noise, commotion, and the loud voice will never increase your role or size. The great will remain great in accordance with the laws of history and geography... and the little dwarf will remain a little dwarf, regardless of how many TV channels it creates, how many people it buys, or how much it pays out in bribes." [3] Journalist Affiliated With The Egyptian Government: The Traitors And Mercenaries Of The Muslim Brotherhood Accept Bribes To Harm Egypt; Neither Palestine Nor Jerusalem Interests Them In a post on his X account with the hashtag #Qatargate, Ahmed Mousa, an Egyptian journalist and TV anchor who is considered to be close to the El-Sisi regime, wrote; "You should be aware and know why they attacked Egypt, its leadership, and its role as an respected mediator in the deal between Hamas and Israel... The traitors in the [Arab] homelands from among the Muslim Brotherhood, and their branches and the mouthpieces of their toilets and their sewers, have nothing to do besides attack Egypt and cast doubts on its role, its integrity, and its mediation [efforts] to end the [Israeli] aggression against Gaza. These mouthpieces operate like mercenaries who speak out [against Egypt] in exchange for money. Gaza, Palestine and Jerusalem do not interest them – only the forbidden money that they are stealing. The target is Egypt: they attacked it and downplayed the importance of its role [while at the same time] strengthening and inflating the role of Qatar in the deal to exchange prisoners for hostages. This scandal, which was exposed by Israel, is the talk of the day around the world... The whole story is campaigns for pay; agents who received payment in exchange for tarnishing the role of Egypt, which stood steadfast as granite in the face of all these sponsored campaigns against it." [4] Egyptian Journalist: Qatar Has Not Stopped Funding The Muslim Brotherhood In Egypt In Order To Bring It To Anarchy Maher Farghali, an Egyptian journalist and researcher who studies Islamic movements wrote: "How do you know that a writer belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood even if he isn't an [official] member of the organization? [You know this] if he completely ignores the discourse about the Qatargate affair, or what Al-Jazeera refers to as 'the issue of the Qatari funds' paid by Qatar to the advisers to [Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu with the aim of sullying the name of Egypt in its role to stop the war against Gaza. The issue is a very big scandal, but they [i.e. the Muslim Brotherhood] hear nothing and see nothing." [5] In another post, he wrote: "The Qatari support for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt is ongoing and has never stopped over the past years. The list is very long, and the budget [that Qatar allocates for this] totals hundreds of millions of dollars, which reached the pockets of the senior members of this [Qatari] network. [Yet] this has not realized even one of the main objectives, which is to bring Egypt to anarchy..." [1] April 3, 2025. [2] MohamedAbuHamed, April 2, 2025. [3] April 1, 2025. [4] April 2, 2025. Israel requests US intervention to dismantle Egypt's military in Sinai, says MP
Egyptian media figure and parliamentarian Mostafa Bakry has launched a scathing attack on Israel after it accused Egypt of violating the peace agreement and requested Washington's intervention to demand Cairo dismantle its military infrastructure in Sinai. In a tweet on his X platform account on Tuesday evening, Bakry stated, 'The Israeli allegations against Egypt that it has violated the peace agreement signed between the two sides are false claims and an attempt to cover up the internal failures of Netanyahu's government.' Bakry continued, 'The matter didn't stop there, but the Israeli Defense Minister is requesting the United States to intervene to demand Egypt dismantle its military infrastructure. Here, it becomes clear that we are facing a plan targeting the Egyptian army and its armament, but they forget the strength of this army and the people behind it. This army protects the national security of the country, and it is a national, honorable army that knows no defeat and accepts no dictates.' He concluded his statement by saying, 'It seems that Israel needs to be reminded of the scene of its army's defeat in the October War of 1973, and as President El-Sisi said: The army that did it once is capable of doing it again.'
