Traffic police in Delhi-NCR have announced movement restrictions for heavy vehicles and road diversions from August 12–15, 2025 to facilitate the Independence Day full-dress rehearsal and the main fruits, vegetables, medicines, medical supplies, fuel, fire services, ambulances, police, and vehicles with special government will face action under the Motor Vehicles 0129-2267201, heavy vehicle entry towards Delhi via Ghazipur, Anand Vihar, or Ghaziabad borders during the rehearsal and main event hours (matching Delhi restrictions — typically from the evening before until mid-day of the event).Traffic from Ghaziabad towards Delhi will be diverted via Bhopura Border or alternative peripheral vehicles advised to use Eastern Peripheral Expressway to bypass heavy vehicle entry to Delhi via DND Flyway, Kalindi Kunj, or Chilla Border during rehearsal and event vehicles to be diverted to Yamuna Expressway and Eastern Peripheral vehicle commuters advised to avoid DND Flyway during restricted hours and use alternative Noida-Greater Noida internal in all four cities have urged commuters to check official traffic police social media handles, plan journeys in advance, and follow diversion routes to avoid delays.
