Two suspects wanted after road rage incident, say police
Two unknown suspects are wanted after an assault in Mount Forest. Two unknown suspects are wanted after an assault in Mount Forest. At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 8, the suspects engaged in a road rage confrontation, turning into a physical altercation, according to police. One victim sustained minor injuries, and the suspects fled the scene. Police are asking the public for information.

Two males wanted for road rage incident in Mount Forest
Two persons of interest in a road rage incident in Mount Forest on Aug. 8. (Source: OPP) Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public's help to identify two males who were involved in a violent road rage incident in Mount Forest. They said the physical confrontation happened on Main Street at around 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 8. The victim's injuries were described as minor. The other people involved in the incident fled before officers arrived on scene. On Monday, police shared photos of two people of interest, as well as one of the vehicles involved. The first suspect was described as an East Indian male, with tanned skin, short black hair, and an average build. He was wearing a white sleeveless shift, grey pants and black shoes. The second suspect was also an East Indian male, with tanned skin, short black hair, and an average build. He was wearing a dark-coloured shirt, black pants, a ball cap and white shoes. Driver remains in critical condition following Highway 6 crash
An Ontario Provincial Police vehicle in an undated photo. Ontario Provincial Police say the driver of a pickup truck, involved in Wednesday's crash near Mount Forest, remains in hospital. The driver was transported to the trauma centre with life-threatening injuries after their pickup collided with a tractor trailer at the intersection of Highway 6 and Sideroad 2 around 4 p.m. As of Thursday, the driver's condition was listed as critical but non-life-threatening. Highway 6 was closed for several hours after the crash but it has since reopened. OPP are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash cam video to reach out to investigators.

Collision involving tractor trailer and pickup truck closes Highway 6 intersection

Ontario Provincial Police said the intersection of Highway 6 and Sideroad 2 West/East was closed as emergency responders worked in the area. No potential reopening time was given. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact OPP.

Hole cut in business wall during Mount Forest break-and-enter
Ontario Provincial Police are looking for a suspect following a break-and-enter into a Mount Forest business, June 25, 2025 (Courtesy: OPP). The Ontario Provincial Police are looking for a suspect after a break-in and theft in Mount Forest Wednesday. Police were called to a business on Main Street North for a reported break and enter around 7 a.m. Police said an unknown person cut a hole through the exterior wall and was able to enter through it at around 12:30 a.m. The suspect allegedly took a safe and cash from the register before running away. Police said the amount stolen and damage estimate were both unknown. Police believe the suspect is most likely a man, who was wearing all black and a dark coloured backpack at the time of the theft. Anyone with information or video of the incident has been asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122.
