‘I don't think Her Majesty's apology was sincere' – Noksie on The Mommy Club reunion

Season three of The Mommy Club has officially ended. By far, this was the most controversial season the mommies have had. Not only were feuds and insults hurled, but there were also divisions. The reunion which was hosted by TV presenter, actress and singer Ntombee Ngcobo-Mzolo, were no different as they brought on confrontations and tears. Emotions ran high, nothing was sugar-coated, and every issue viewers have been buzzing about was laid bare. From Pheladi's absence and Mrs Sande's emotional state to the bullying accusations that sparked serious conversations online, the ladies didn't hold back. One of the biggest moments of the reunion came when Season 3 newcomer Mrs J stormed out after a heated exchange with Vuyi, leaving everyone gagged. While there were apologies and attempts to move forward, it's clear that not all wounds have healed, and where their relationships stand now is everyone's guess. Noksie, who has been at the centre of the biggest feud of the season, didn't shy away from spilling tea, sharing her thoughts on what really went down at the reunion, how she feels about the other ladies, her celebrity fans and more. Read more | 'My children were discriminated from day one' – Mrs J lashes out at The Mommy Club production Reflecting on her time on the show, she says it wasn't what she expected. 'I went in thinking I'd be surrounded by empowered, thriving boss babes, women glowing from the inside out. Instead, I found myself among people carrying a lot of hurt and sadness, which was honestly quite disheartening.' Going into the show, the mother of one aimed to increase her brand visibility as a real estate agent. At the very least, she has achieved her goal. 'I'm really happy that sellers are now approaching me directly, which has made things easier for my real estate business.' Despite knowing that she doesn't thrive in group settings, she has been shown love and support by the public with some people even calling her the breakout star of the season. Now, everywhere she goes, she's recognised and showered with words of appreciation. 'I've had quite a few well-known people reach out to me, and it's been so heartwarming. One of them is the incredible Khanyi Mbau. What a queen! I'm truly grateful.' After the explosive reunion, Noksie has stayed in touch with Mrs J, who's been her day one, unlike Pheladi. That said, I genuinely wish them all the best,' she adds. Most of the cast members were dissatisfied with a lot of production decisions, as Mrs J went as far as storming out of the reunion because her children's scene did not make it to the final product, nor were they invited to the reunion like Vuyi and Her Majesty's daughters. Other cast members accused the production company of twisting their arms and words to suit an unpleasant narrative. To that, Noksie says they were merely doing their job. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nokwethemba khumalo🇿🇦 (@noksie_khumalo) 'The production team is simply doing their job. They have their mandate, just like the cast does. Their role is to showcase what was filmed. It's really simple: if you don't want to be perceived in a certain way, don't behave that way. While we were shooting, I kept wondering if they realised this would eventually air. That's when it became clear to me that they didn't seem to care much about their image. Their main focus was bringing me down, without thinking about how their behaviour would reflect on them in the end.' Apologies flew across the room at the reunion. Some were accepted and some were dug out from deep holes. Although she was introduced to the group by Her Majesty, she doesn't believe the mother of three's apology was genuine. 'I don't think that her apology was sincere, but I just wanted to move on and move away.' To the new mommies who could be joining The Mommy Club in season four, she advises them to be themselves. 'My advice to the new mommy joining the show would be to simply be yourself. That's the most powerful thing you can be. Your tribe will naturally gravitate toward you, and those who aren't meant for you will fall away, just as they should.'

Calls to cancel 'The Mommy Club' after reunion drama and claims of scene cuts

Fans of The Mommy Club are calling for the reality series to be cancelled after the airing of the first part of the Season 3 reunion, which sparked outrage over alleged scene omissions and lack of focus on the show's original premise of motherhood. The criticism reached boiling point after reality star Kabelo Jantjies, known on the show as Mrs J, took to social media to express her disappointment with the show's production team. She alleged that scenes featuring her children were cut from the show without explanation. 'Week in, week out, we all had hopes that the scene with my children would play, but it did not. No explanation, nothing. I really feel like my children were discriminated [against] from day one till the very last,' she wrote. Mrs J's frustration grew when she discovered her children had not been invited to the reunion shoot. 'I mean, not even an invite for the reunion,' she said. Mrs J said this exclusion led to her withdrawing from filming the second part of the special, set to air on Saturday. 'As a mother, my number one role is to always and forever protect my kids, hence I couldn't finish the reunion. I was not going to sit there when my child was not invited without any solid reason or explanation,' she said. 'How do you explain to the child why they are not invited? But anyway, as unkind as it is, we move on. Hope you all enjoy part 2 of the reunion.' Her comments have ignited a broader discussion online, where viewers are voicing their own concerns over the show's direction. Many feel that The Mommy Club has strayed from its original focus on parenting, children and the lives of the moms beyond the drama. On social media platform X user Lebogang Mogajane said the show has lost the plot. 'I hear you, however Mommy Club lost the plot. They focused too much on the drama between the mommies. Season one was full of moments with the kids and even nannies, but this season? It was all about the moms,' said Mogajane. Another user, Viola Tsipa, pointed to behind-the-scenes decisions that seem to undermine the show's premise. 'Recently watched a podcast where Ratile was a guest and she mentioned how there's way more scenes with her kids shot but never made it to our screen. Just confirmed there and then that the name is just a front,' he said. The Season 3 reunion, which began airing this past Friday, opened with apologies and tense exchanges among cast members, as the women attempted to confront one another over gossip and unresolved issues. Before the reunion aired, Mrs J stated in an interview she planned to use the opportunity to clear the air. 'I would like to use the reunion as an opportunity to address what needs to be addressed fully. I couldn't believe some of the comments made behind my back. As mothers, I hope we can iron out our differences and see if there's a way forward,' she said. True to her word, Mrs J did not hold back. She confronted her co-stars, particularly Mrs Sande, for allegedly mocking her ancestral calling. But she was also challenged herself when fellow cast member Vuyi questioned her about controversial comments she had made about Pheladi, who did not attend the reunion. As part two of the reunion approaches, fans appear more disillusioned than excited. Many are demanding accountability from the producers, citing the disconnect between the show's branding and its content.

‘I have nothing to hide' – Her Majesty ahead of The Mommy Club reunion

We've seen the drama. We've seen the explosive conversations. We've witnessed friendships form and break. And we've judged the mommies of Joburg. Now it's time for them to face each other and for us to sip on some tea. Hosted by Ntombee Ngcobo-Mzobe, the reunion promises to answer all the burning questions and get to the bottom of every storyline that happened on and off the screen. The first part of the reunion will premiere on 17 May and the second part on 24 May, exclusively on Showmax. Ahead of The Mommy Club reunion, here's how the cast is feeling. Hermajesty: 'I'm stepping into this reunion with nothing to hide. It's time to put everything on the table, the truths, the tension, and every unspoken word. There's a lot that needs to be unpacked.' Mrs J: 'I would like to use the reunion as an opportunity to address what needs to be addressed fully. I couldn't believe some of the comments made behind my back. As mothers, I hope we can iron out our differences and see if there's a way forward.' Mrs Sande: 'I'm genuinely looking forward to this reunion. The streets want answers: why was I so spicy? Well, I'm here to give them. This season, I found my voice, and I have no regrets. I'm coming with an open heart and an open mind but I'm not holding back.' Noksie: 'There's a calmness in me I didn't expect because I know my truth. I've been painted a certain way, but now, I'm taking my power back. Some people owe me apologies, and while I'm ready to own my part, I won't ignore the intentional hurt that was sent my way. I feel stronger, more grounded and ready for anything.' Vuyi: 'I'm walking into this reunion with clarity and conviction. I'm in good spirits, but I'm not here to sugar-coat anything. My goal is to hold myself accountable and expect the same from everyone else. There's been too much deflecting. It's time we all own the roles we played in the chaos.'

‘My children were discriminated from day one' – Mrs J lashes out at The Mommy Club production

The third season of The Mommy Club has been marred with more drama behind the scenes than on screen. Viewers have expressed disappointment at the inconsistency of the show's concept this season. Instead of capturing the relationship the Joburg mommies have with their nannies and children, this season placed a huge focus on the petty squabbles that the ladies had amongst themselves. Arguably, the mommies even portrayed the kind of behaviour that is a bad example to their children. From bullying, name-calling, swearing and the gaslighting, it was all a mess. Not only did the cast concur with this, as seen in the first part of the reunion, but they've also lost their cool with production. Mrs J is the latest to go online with her frustrations. Read more | 'I have nothing to hide' – Her Majesty ahead of The Mommy Club reunion In an emotionally loaded post on Instagram, Kabelo 'Mrs J' Jantjies called out production company, Pop24 for not featuring her children on the show. 'Week in, week out, we all had hopes that the scene with my children will play, but it did not. No explanation, nothing. I really feel like my children were discriminated from day one till the very last. I mean, not even an invitation for the reunion,' the mother of three said. The carousel post included behind-the-scenes videos of the scenes that were shot of her with her children, which never made it to the screens. It was clear that she couldn't wait till the second part of the reunion was released on Saturday, 24 February to give the production company a piece of her mind. She even spilled the beans on why she stormed out of the second part of the reunion. 'As a mother, my number one role is to always and forever protect my kids, hence I couldn't finish the reunion. I was not going to sit there when my child was not invited without any solid reason or explanation. How do you explain to the child why they are not invited? But anyway, as unkind as it is, we move on. Read more | 'Hope you all enjoy part 2 of the reunion,' her post further reads. Mrs J has since gone private, shutting out the world from her Instagram page. This has received a number of mixed emotions and opinions. Entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela is among those who've shared the dynamics of the reality tv game. 'Reality tv is not good for anyone with mental health issues. Don't sign up for it and think you will be treated differently. Tv's primary goal is to attract viewers. Producers' paramount job on a reality show is to craft compelling television content, it is not your Instagram page,' he firmly said. You watch a TV show. You know what the TV show is about and what is entertaining for the show. YOU choose to be on the show. They didn't force you. YOU KNOW WHAT "GROUP CAST REALITY SHOWS" ARE ABOUT. — Kgopolo (@PhilMphela) May 20, 2025

‘My children were discriminated against': Mrs J blasts The Mommy Club

Mrs J accuses the show of sidelining her children. After the explosive first part of The Mommy Club Season 3 reunion, reality star Mrs J, real name Kabelo Jantjies, has taken to her social media platforms to rant about the show. In a lengthy Instagram post, Mrs J alleged that the production team discriminated against her children. She claimed that none of the scenes she filmed with her children were aired. 'Week in, week out, we all had hopes that the scene with my children would play, but it did not. No explanation, nothing. I really feel like my children were discriminated against from day one until the very last,' she wrote. Mrs J also expressed her dissatisfaction that her children were not invited to the reunion. She hinted that she did not complete filming the second part of the reunion, which is set to air this Saturday, 24 May. She added: 'As a mother, my number one role is to always and forever protect my kids, hence I couldn't finish the reunion. I was not going to sit there when my child was not invited without any solid reason or explanation. 'How do you explain to the child why they are not invited? But anyway, as unkind as it is, we move on. Hope you all enjoy part two of the reunion.' The Citizen sent questions to the production via MultiChoice. At the time of publication, a response had not been received.
