Mugen adds sporty edge to Honda N-One e: ahead of European debut
HONDA'S N-ONE E:, a fully electric kei car destined for both Japan and Europe, is already known for its distinctive and slightly cheeky styling. Now, Japanese tuning house Mugen has introduced a body kit and accessories designed to inject even more personality into the compact EV. The exterior enhancements comprise a matte black front splitter, side skirts, and a compact rear diffuser, complemented by a matching rear spoiler. New 15-inch alloy wheels complete the transformation, giving the N-One e: the stance of a miniature hot hatch. Mugen's visual upgrades also extend to custom decals bearing its branding, which can be applied to the front bumper, grille, side panels, and rear bumper. A tuning badge positioned on the front fenders ensures its modified credentials are clear. Inside, Mugen has introduced branded scuff plates, customised door cubbies, and tailored floor mats, along with a boot floor cover. Practical accessories such as window visors and hydrophilic mirror coatings have been developed to improve visibility in wet weather. Under the skin, the N-One e: retains its standard electric motor, producing 63hp in compliance with Japan's kei car regulations. However, the addition of performance dampers and the larger alloy wheels is expected to sharpen handling for a more engaging drive. The range remains unchanged, with the kei EV capable of covering over 245 kilometres on a single charge. Mugen's accessory range for the Honda N-One e: will go on sale in Japan in October 2025, with prices to be confirmed nearer the launch date. The model is also set to make its European debut at the IAA Show in Munich this September.

Lights off, phones up. At most concerts I've attended, that is what usually happens. But for Japanese rock band My First Story's debut Singapore show on July 13, empty hands were up in the air. When the music started and lead singer Hiro and his band members - drummer Kid'z, bassist Nob and guitarist Teru - walked out, the fully seated crowd at Sands Theatre stood up and the screams were so deafening I had to put in my concert earplugs. It was almost like I was at a Japanese idol's concert - the crowd was so in sync with their cheers and arm-waving it reminded me of wotagei (synchronised cheering movements commonly done at idol shows), just without the glowing light sticks. Any attempts at video-recording during the 1.5 hour-long set were stopped by strict security, and while I'd usually be disappointed that I couldn't capture anything for the memories, I felt differently this time. The energy was so palpable, and the audience was so visibly immersed in every song since no one needed to fight to snap the best angle of the band. I'm someone who prefers to sit during concerts, but the atmosphere made it impossible for me to not join in and jump with everyone around me. By the time the third song Tokyo Midnight was being performed, I was out of breath and had to take a seat, but the audience kept going. Halfway through the concert, the band, which was formed in 2011, had a short talking segment. As I had predicted, there was no interpreter (a common occurrence at Japanese concerts) and for once, I felt my hours spent watching J-dramas came in handy. " Nihongo wakaru (do you understand Japanese)?" Kid'z asked the crowd. When the audience responded with an enthusiastic " Hai (yes)!", he looked surprised, asking if it was because of anime. He asked if they had seen Demon Slayer. Season four's opening theme Mugen was performed by them and soloist Hyde. "One Piece? Naruto?" he named a few others to get a gist of what the fans liked. While Kid'z continued joking around and interacting with the crowd, Hiro, standing at the front of the stage, smiled and silently took it all in. But the moment the lights turned off again, the 180-degree change from regular quiet Hiro to My First Story's frontman Hiro was jarring, in a good way. There was no bad seat in the venue as he made sure to run around and interact with fans at every angle he could. At one point, he even got off the stage and walked around the entire venue while he sang. My favourite part of the concert was during Confession, one of their few ballads. As Hiro's clear voice resounded through the venue, the audience turned on their phone flashlights and waved them in the air. Mid-song, he softly said in English: "Thank you, it's beautiful." Their 2022 song I'm a Mess felt like the climax of the show, with the majority of the audience jumping in sync and singing along to the lyrics, and a thought crossed my mind then: "Would it be the same had video-taking been allowed?" [[nid:719426]] Would the crowd be just as immersed in all 19 songs, and would the energy have felt as electrifying as it did? I remember talking to a friend who had flown to Hong Kong to attend a J-pop idol group's concert earlier in January, and how she told me her experience was much better than other shows because no one was engrossed in taking videos, and her view wasn't blocked by phones in the air. Back then, I could only imagine how such an experience would be like, but now that I have for myself, I can't help but wish this was the norm for every concert. One family certainly does, though: recently, they took their Maine Coon on a camping trip in the mountains! He's no stranger to a mountain getaway, but this time it was raining, and luckily, they came prepared: Mugen the Maine Coon really loves getting out and exploring the great outdoors, even when it's raining. Plus, let's be real here: he is incredibly handsome in that raincoat!Mugen the Maine Coon is an adventure cat at heart. He goes on outings with his parents all the time: he lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, so he's no stranger to some absolutely incredible scenery. He lives just a short drive away from the most beautiful mountains and camping spots! He wears his little leash and will hike through just about anything, including some rain! They have gotten him a little raincoat, though, just to keep him from getting too wet and chilly. It's a very beautiful raincoat: great for accompanying this beautiful view! If you want to take your cat (or any pet, for that matter) out for adventures, you should do it! They can sometimes get bored inside, and visiting new places can help them feel more interested. Whether you're just taking them on a walk or on a hike, they'll love it! When taking your cat outside for long periods, you should be sure to bring a few essentials: A leash and harness. Food and water. Waste bags (yes, really!). Treats. You should be treating a cat exactly like you treat a dog when you bring them out in public, which includes cleaning up after them if they end up needing to relieve themselves. Mom Brings Maine Coon on Roller Coaster VR Journey and He's So Unbothered
Cats are often said to be aloof. Unfeeling. Uncaring. In all of the movies, the cat is famously a little grumpy and scary. In real life, however, this has been proven way wrong! On Wednesday, March 26th, one Maine Coon breathed new life into the "scary and unbothered" theory, though. When his mom set him up on a hilarious roller coaster VR ride, his face just says it all: Mugen the Maine Coon is breathtakingly gorgeous, but he is not one for roller coasters. I don't blame him!Mugen is a Canadian Maine Coon cat, and he is so beautiful. Don't get it twisted: he's a Maine Coon. He loves adventure and can often be found going on leashed-up hikes with his parents or playing around with a toy inside. What you will not find him doing ever again, however, is going on a roller coaster ride. His mom tried it out: she put him in a basket and queued up a video of a roller coaster track to see what he would do! The verdict: Mugen enjoys sitting in a basket. Mugen could not have given one single hoot about the roller coaster, even though mom did her best to make it feel real. He much prefers to sit in his basket when it's on the ground! Being lifted up like that probably had him like: Maine Coons do enjoy TV from time to time, especially things like: Aquarium videos. Bird feeder livestreams. Other cats running around. High-definition TV in particular has led to more cats being interested in TV than ever: things really look real in HD. You do need to be careful and make sure your can't can't pounce on or break the screen, which could happen if they were left alone. For this Maine Coon, TV is really not that interesting: he's a real-life adventure cat. He wants to go and put his actual paws in the dirt! 🐶🐾🐾
