Rahaman Ali , younger brother of boxing icon Muhammad Ali and a former professional heavyweight boxer , has died at the age of 82, the Muhammad Ali Center confirmed Saturday(August 2). He passed away on Friday, August 1. The cause of death has not been released. Born Rudolph Arnett Clay in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1943, Rahaman was just 18 months younger than Muhammad, then known as Cassius Clay Jr. The brothers grew up in a modest pink house in Louisville's West End, where they wrestled and played basketball. 'You can't tell Muhammad's story without mentioning Rahaman.' After retiring from boxing, Rahaman remained by Muhammad's side, traveling with him and participating in training camps.
