Man high on drugs extends leg under moving lorry
KUALA LUMPUR: A man suspected to be under drug influence intentionally stuck his leg under a moving lorry near Jalan Pekan Bangi Lama in Bangi yesterday. The reckless act was captured on dashcam footage, prompting a police report. Kajang district police chief Naazron Abdul Yusof stated that the 43-year-old suspect will be arrested once discharged from hospital treatment for drug use. 'The complainant reported that while driving his lorry, the suspect, standing near his motorcycle, suddenly extended his leg toward the rear tyre,' he said. The suspect appeared disoriented when confronted by the lorry driver. Police checks revealed his extensive criminal history, including 19 prior drug-related offences and two criminal records. The case is being investigated under Section 336 of the Penal Code for endangering life. KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1 — A man believed to be under the influence of drugs deliberately extended his leg under a moving lorry at a traffic light near Jalan Pekan Bangi Lama, Bangi, on district police chief Naazron Abdul Yusof said the 43-year-old will be arrested for his reckless act after he finish being treated for drug use at the hospital.'In the 10.45 am incident, the complainant said he was driving a lorry when the suspect, who was standing by the roadside next to his motorcycle, suddenly extended his leg towards the rear right tyre of the lorry.'When the lorry driver got down to inspect, the suspect appeared to be disoriented. The act was captured on the complainant's dashcam, and a police report was lodged at 4.48 pm on the same day,' he said, adding that checks revealed that the suspect has 19 prior drug-related offences and two criminal case is being investigated under Section 336 of the Penal Code, he also urged those with information about the incident to come forward to the nearest police station or contact Investigating Officer Insp Muhammad Nazirulzahin Mohd Hashim at 017-8881475 to assist a 1-minute 15-second video of the incident went viral, showing a man suddenly extending his leg towards a moving lorry before clutching his leg and writhing in pain. Suspect caught placing leg under lorry wheel will be arrested, say police
KAJANG: Police say a man believed to be under the influence of drugs, who placed his leg under a moving lorry, will be arrested after he is discharged from hospital. Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abd Yusof said the 43-year-old suspect is currently receiving treatment in hospital. The incident occurred near Jalan Pekan Bangi Lama around 10.45am yesterday, when the suspect was caught on video placing his leg under the rear tyre of a lorry near a traffic light. However, no injuries were reported from the incident. The 33-year-old driver later lodged a police report and has dashcam footage of the incident. Checks revealed the suspect has 19 previous drug offences and two criminal records. Police said the case is being investigated under Section 336 of the Penal Code for acts endangering life or personal safety.
