In conversation with Zoom, Anusha Dandekar recalled a funny memory of working with Amitabh Bachchan and John Abraham in Viruddh. She said, 'I still remember shooting my first scene with Mr Bachchan. I was really nervous, standing in a corner rehearsing on my own… when John came up to me and said, 'If you forget your lines, Mr Bachchan will be very angry." I started freaking out and practising my lines harder and when I looked up, I saw them both on the other side of the room looking at me and laughing at the prank!" She praised Amitabh Bachchan and said, 'I think having a film with Mr Amitabh Bachchan is the biggest flex, especially when it's your first film. Watching him while shooting for Viruddh, you learn so many things without even realising it, just being around him is enough." Talking about the film Viruddh, the Mahesh Manjrekar directorial also starred Sharmila Tagore and Sanjay Dutt. The film still remains memorable for its portrayal of love, loss and family, resonating with audiences even today. Reflecting on her time in the film, Anusha had shared a touching note, expressing gratitude for the experience. 'My first wedding, what a turnout! 19 years of Viruddh… What a beautiful film this was for so many, especially me. Have you watched it? Thank you Mahesh Manjrekar. I have such special films because of you. I also get to say I worked with the greatest," she wrote, cherishing the memories.
