Who is the mystery Glastonbury Patchwork guest? Fans think they have figured it out

It is one of the most fun parts of the Glastonbury lead up year after year. Trying to work out which major star could surprise us all with a performance on the Pyramid Stage. Each year organisers hold back on revealing every single detail on who we will see facing the stage, and 2025 is no different. But this year festival fans seem convinced that they have worked out who the mystery 'Patchwork' guest is on the 2025 line-up. The mystery guest plans to perform on the Pyramid Stage from 6pm to 7pm on the Saturday, and so far a number of big name stars and bands have been thrust into the pool of names being debated. Oasis, Mumford And Sons, Sam Fender, Harry Styles, and Lewis Capaldi have all been mentioned, and fans have their reasons for summarising their guesses. Named only as 'Patchwork' on the official line-up, it has led many to think that - despite their protests - it could be Oasis before they kick off their sold out arena tour this summer. One wrote: 'Patchwork? Oasis I know they've said no, but that doesn't carry a great deal of weight... Patchwork... Patching things up... might be a bit of a reach but MY GOD it would be good.' Others pointed to the book named 'Patchwork' by author Sylvia Haim, to suggest it would be the band HAIM while others were left convinced it was Pulp following the release of their latest album: Maybe even more clear a link: "Patchwork is a German book written by a novelist called Sylvia Haim" — Jamie (@BelishaBeacon25) June 3, 2025 @glastonbury @secretglasto My literary wife has pointed out that Patchwork is a novel by Sylvia Haim, suggesting the Saturday pyramid slot is none other than @HAIMtheband .... What do you think? #glastonbury2025 — Tim Street (@Tims_Pants) June 3, 2025 Hoping Patchwork are Pulp, but the connection to Haim seems quite solid. wondering are they that big a deal to be a secret act? Maybe I'm a bit old and just don't know what's hot 😂 — Surreynurse 🌱FBPE (@Surreynurse1) June 3, 2025 Also on the Pulp thing — Sparra (@andysparra) June 4, 2025 Other guesses included old favourites at Glasto, Coldplay: 'Patchwork' at Glastonbury - quite simple - the old favourites of course...#patchwork#coldplay#Glastonbury — Puffguin Esquire (@PuffguinEsquire) June 3, 2025 But some thought it would be a more out there option, such as Harry Styles, because of a famous outfit choice he once made: The secret is out. Remember THAT @JW_ANDERSON patchwork knit cardigan worn by THE @Harry_Styles? We're happy to confirm that the #TikTok trending sensation is joining our fashion collection in 2021. Read more here: — V&A (@V_and_A) November 21, 2020 My guess (the famous patchwork cardigan) — travelmeerkat (@travelmeerkat) June 3, 2025 Others were very honest by the fact that they simply do not have a clue: Me currently trying to figure out who Patchwork are…#Glastonbury #Glasto — Katey (@kateymania) June 3, 2025 So far it's...A book by Sylvia patching things up.A Wombats patchwork Styles patchwork to do with miss-shapes and with patchwork tattoos.A Mudford and Sons song that may or may not in all 🤷‍♂️ — The Glasto Thingy (@TheGlastoThingy) June 3, 2025 But at least fans now only have a few weeks left to wait and see. Glastonbury has revealed the line-up for this year's event as it announced the headline acts which include The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo. Also on the bill is Biffy Clyro, Rod Stewart, Busta Rhymes, Raye, The Prodigy, Charli XCX and Nile Rodgers and Chic among others.

Glastonbury Festival fans convinced they know who the mystery Patchwork guest is - as full line-up is announced

Glastonbury Festival fans are convinced they've worked out who the mystery Patchwork guest is on the 2025 line-up. Festival-goers have gone wild with speculation around who the act could potentially be - as it plans to perform on the Pyramid Stage 6pm to 7pm on the Saturday. Names including Oasis, Mumford And Sons, Sam Fender, Harry Styles, and Lewis Capaldi have all been thrown into the mix. Fans speculated on Reddit: 'There's two surprises on the Pyramid Stage, one Friday one Saturday. Talk of Mumford and Sons on the Friday and I'm praying for Pulp on the Saturday." Another user suggested: Haim probably', 'A massively long shot, but could it be Oasis to officially kick-start their comeback? Only a 35-minute set, which would probably be like 4 songs with a lot of talking. Which feels appropriate', From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Festival-goers have gone wild with speculation around who the act could potentially be - as it plans to perform on the Pyramid Stage 6pm to 7pm on the Saturday 'Patchwork ?Oasis I know they've said no, but that doesn't carry a great deal of weight... Patchwork... Patching things up... might be a bit of a reach but MY GOD it would be good', 'Ed Sheeran I think. Been doing secret sets all year. Just popping up', 'Pulp would fit. New album which is great. Gap in tour. Headlined twice before. Band of the people', 'Hopefully Sam Fender, heard about Harry Styles aswell'. Glastonbury has revealed the line-up for this year's event as it announced the headline acts which include The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo. Moments after the acts were announced, fans who had already purchased their tickets took to social media in their droves to complain about the line-up. Branding it the 'worst one ever', they claimed that the globally recognised event had 'gone so far downhill' in comparison to previous years. Fans who didn't manage to bag entry during the November sale admitted they no longer minded about missing out following the announcement. Fans suggested who they thought Patchwork could be on Reddit on Tuesday British pop-rock group the 1975 and the US pop-punk songwriter Olivia are both first-time headliners. The poster was shared by the official Glastonbury X page this morning with the caption: 'Here is the first Glastonbury Festival 2025 line-up poster.' The band, led by Matty Healy, have been revealed as the top billing for the Friday night on the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm. Pop princess Olivia, who performed on the Other Stage in 2022, will serve as the headline act on the closing night of the event. Canadian singer-songwriter Neil will fill the Saturday night slot, which will also see performances from Charli XCX, Raye and Doechii. Neil previously accidentally announced he would be playing at the event on January 1 when he declared he would be 'withdrawing' from the festival - despite it never being confirmed in the first place. He cited that it was due to the fact the event was under the BBC 's 'corporate control'. The Somerset-based festival has worked closely with its exclusive broadcast partner since 1997. Neil later admitted had received bad information and confirmed he would once again perform, announcing it was 'back on his itinerary'. Following the line-up announcement, many took to X to share their thoughts on the musicians who are slated to play at the iconic event Sir Rod Stewart was already confirmed for the coveted teatime legends slot on the Sunday. The Other stage headliners have also been revealed. After her unforgettable Brat Summer – and rivalling Dua Lipa's headline performance with a DJ set at Glastonbury 2024 – Charli xcx will headline the festival's second stage on Saturday. Hot off her Brits success where she bagged a jaw-dropping five gongs, Charli is no doubt likely to draw a huge crowd. Also on the same stage will be hip hop star Loyle Carner on the Friday, as Essex electronic group The Prodigy close the event on Sunday night with a show that will be their first at the festival since the death of frontman Keith Flint in 2019. Other acts include Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro, Canadian singer Alanis Morissette, US chart-topper Noah Kahan, English rock band Wolf Alice, British indie rockers Wet Leg and recently reformed US pop group Scissor Sisters. Manchester-formed The 1975 have headlined various festivals in the UK and elsewhere, with controversial stage antics. However, they have not done so at Glastonbury. Glastonbury is taking a fallow year in 2026 to allow the farmland to recover, organisers said last year. In 2024, London-born singer Dua, rock band Coldplay and American singer Sza all headlined the Pyramid Stage. The festival will take place at Worthy Farm in Somerset from June 25 to 29.

Mumford & Sons star blasts celebrities for their silence on Colorado terror attack

Former Mumford and Sons guitarist Winston Marshall slammed celebrities for the lack of acknowledgment of the Colorado terror attack on Israeli protestors. Marshall spoke out on Fox News in the aftermath of the attack in Boulder, Colorado on Sunday evening, saying he was left disappointed by the response to the horror episode that wounded eight people. 'My frustration isn't just at the horrific things that we see, but the failure by certain parts of the country to acknowledge it's even happening,' he said. 'I'm disappointed by also the reaction in the music industry where I have spent my career so regularly.' Pointing his remarks to pro-Palestine protestors that have seen young people chant Hamas slogans such as 'from the river, to the sea', Marshall said attacks will continue so long as they support the terror group. 'What do you think they mean when they say, 'globalize the Intifada?' he continued. 'If you have these big groups chanting this, then there will be individuals like this case in Boulder who will actually act on it.' It comes as Egyptian illegal immigrant Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, was heard yelling 'Free Palestine' and other anti-Israel chants as he allegedly threw Molotov cocktails at a rally for Israeli hostages in Gaza. Marshall said he found the attack on Sunday as 'horrific' but 'unsurprising', as he pointed to the growing anti-Israel sentiment within the United States. The musician cited the double murder of two Israeli embassy workers in Washington DC just two weeks prior, which was also allegedly carried out by an anti-Israel protestor yelling 'Free Palestine.' Marshall said the instances were evidence of a rise in 'far-left violence', adding: 'In Europe, things are much worse. 'In London, we're seeing this sort of attitude and philosophy regularly.' Marshall's criticism of the rise of far-left violence in Europe comes days after he surprised fans by appearing at a White House press conference, where he asked Karoline Leavitt if the Trump administration would consider asylum for Brits prosecuted for free speech. In his appearance on Fox News, Marshall said he has been left confused at how pro-Hamas sentiments gained traction despite the terror group's atrocities, including crimes against Palestinian civilians. 'I should also note, there are 58 hostages still in Gaza, 23 of whom are still presumed alive,' he continued. 'Why is it that these protestors aren't protesting against Hamas? It is in the interest, if you are pro-Palestine, you should be anti-Hamas. If you are pro-Israel, you should be anti-Hamas. 'Hamas are literally killing Palestinians themselves. It seems like a complete moral inversion, I don't quite know how to get into their frame of mind, because it's so twisted to me. 'It is very dark to see this happening in America.' The Fox News host added to Marshall's condemnation of the music industry's response to the anti-Israel attacks by pointing to the recent controversy where Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds kissed a Palestinian flag on stage. The American rock band - known for hits like 'Radioactive' and 'Demons' - was performing at the I-Days Festival when Reynolds held the flag aloft and draped it over his shoulders before kissing it before tossing it into the crowd. Marshall's appearance on the network comes as the former Mumford and Sons guitarist left the band four years ago after sharing his conservative political views. The musician said he was a victim of 'cancel culture' as he was ousted from the band and hounded by fans for sending a tweet to conservative journalist Andy Ngo thanking him for his book, which was critical of Antifa. Marshall, son of multi-millionaire hedge fund manager Sir Paul Marshall, told Ngo: 'Congratulations . . . Finally had the time to read your important book. You're a brave man.' Left-wing social media users immediately piled on to the star, accused him of being a 'fascist.' Before he posed the question of granting asylum to British people convicted on free speech grounds to Leavitt in the White House, Marshall often spoke out about cancel culture within the entertainment industry. In 2022, this included appearing at the Conservative Party Conference

Jade sparks chaos at Big Weekend as her fans leave festival and snub huge act

Former Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall put on an incredible performance at Radio 1's Big Weekender in Liverpool - so much so that her fans decided to leave after her slot Jade Thirlwall has caused chaos at Radio 1's Big Weekend after her incredible set where she played her chart-topping hits including Angel Of My Dreams and IT Girl. The former Little Mix star drew in thousands of fans in Liverpool's Sefton Park, and after her set, many decided to leave the park as they snubbed Mumford And Sons who were playing on the Main Stage. A source told The Mirror: "Everybody left after Jade. Mumford And Sons may have been on the Main Stage but Jade proved she's a dark horse of the industry. She headlined the New Music Stage but after leaving her set, thousands of people decided to leave. ‌ The festival-goer told us: "There's really no topping Jade Thirlwall, nobody could compare to her after her set, she performed Little Mix hits and her own solo bangers including FUFN (clean version), IT Girl and the club anthem Angel of my Dreams, it was a no brainer that she was the real closer of the festival.'' ‌ Another person in the crowd said that it was a shame that Jade, 32, wasn't one of the artists chosen to play on the Main Stage. "Jade was one quarter of the biggest British girlband after Girls aloud and Spice Girls, and to have her on the New Music Stage seemed like a silly idea. "She attracted one of the biggest crowded with hundreds leaving HAIM to see her live. She certainly proved she can hold her own. Everybody was heading up to Mumford and sons afterwards. It was clear she drew a huge crowd in and she should have been on the main stage." It comes after Jade announced the release of her debut solo album, which marks one of the biggest milestones in her personal career since her former band Little Mix went on hiatus. Earlier this month, the singer took to Instagram to share the news with fans, posting: "THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY! My debut album out 12th September." The announcement was accompanied by a striking image of what appears to be her album artwork, which features Jade in four different outfits and poses. This career move comes after Jade has already spent a decade in the spotlight after rising to fame as part of Little Mix, the four-member girl group that was formed on The X Factor in 2011. ‌ The band went on to become one of the UK's most successful girl groups, clinching number one singles, Brit Awards, and touring internationally. After the band went on hiatus in May 2022, Jade kicked off her career as a solo artist. She has been extremely successful on her own and already has a Brit Award and a place at Glastonbury under her belt. The news of her first solo album was met with excitement from fans. One wrote: "Bring it on I can't wait!" Meanwhile, another gushed: "EVERYBODY MOVE SHE'S SAVING THE MUSIC INDUSTRY." ‌ The artist has teased that her debut record will feature A-list artists such as RAYE, Lostboy, and Pablo Bowman. Jade will also kick off her first UK and Ireland tour in October. She told fans: "This album has been years in the making, so I'm beyond excited that I can finally let everyone know when it's coming out. I'm very proud of 'THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY!' as a body of work and can't wait to share it with the world. To be able to perform the album live later this year is also a dream come true. See you all on tour!" ‌ Although she has received support from music aficionados who are delighted by her new music, Jade has recently spoken about the more challenging aspects of being in the public eye in an interview for ITV's The Assembly. The programme features questions from autistic, neurodivergent, and learning-disabled interviewers, one of whom quizzed Jade about what specific pressures she faces as a woman in the music industry. The singer responded: "I'm going to be very honest about this. The thing that annoys me the most, and I get asked the most, is if I'm going to have children, do I want to be pregnant next? Am I pregnant? But I find it really weird people ask that because they don't know what my circumstances are." She continued: "You don't know if someone can't have children, or just doesn't want to, or isn't ready yet. I think it's a really invasive question and I really resent being asked it." ‌ Jade also opened up about the public scrutiny she has recently faced over her appearance, saying, "I've maybe put on a bit of weight since I've become a solo artist and because of that people speculate a lot like, 'Is she pregnant?' and I'm like, guys, I've just had a bit of garlic bread. I'm bloated. Do you know what I mean?" While reflecting on her early years in the music industry, Jade admitted that she used to feel like she had "sold her soul," adding: "But as the years have gone by I've learned more and more about the industry. I've been collecting – a bit like Thanos with the stones – I've been collecting parts of my soul back."
