The unexpected passing of television and Bollywood actor Mukul Dev has left his family, friends, and industry peers in deep shock. As per reports, the actor had been unwell and hospitalised for the past 8–10 days before he breathed his last on May 23. Actress Kishwer Merchant , who had worked with Mukul Dev before and knew him well, is deeply saddened by the news of his death. The actress shared a story on her Instagram account, remembering the late actor and expressed his grief at his sudden demise. She wrote, "Had not met u since ages... but a picture of u would always bring a smile on my face... kaise u use to imitate me, make fun of me, your stories, your energy during night shifts, and how talking about your daughter use to be Ur favourite thing!" She further added, "Mukli is what I called u, today your pic has made me sad... very sad! RIP my friend! Strength to your family to deal with this unbearable loss!" Mukul's last rites took place in Delhi today in the presence of his close family and friends. His brother Rahul Dev looked devastated at the last rites. Mukul Dev, who most recently appeared in the Hindi film Anth The End, was the sibling of actor Rahul Dev. Hailing from New Delhi, Mukul belonged to a Punjabi family with origins in a village close to Jalandhar.
