Distinctive Results for Iraq at the West Asian Athletics Championships

Iraqi athletes achieved impressive results in the West Asian One-Day Athletics Championships, currently being held in the Qatari capital, Doha, on the sidelines of the Diamond League qualifying tournament for the World Championships.
A statement from the Olympic Committee received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "runner Saif Raad won first place in the 100m race with a time of 10.22 seconds, setting a new and strong Iraqi record, with a wind speed of 1.4 m/s."
"The runner Murtadha Azhar finished third with a time of 10.34 seconds, an achievement that confirms the progress of Iraqi runners in this fast distance."
According to the statement "Runner Nour El Din Adel Marza, who is participating in this race for the first time, managed to achieve first place in the 400m race with a time of 46.25 seconds, while runner Taha Hussein came in second with a time of 46.97 seconds." It added, "Runner Ahmed Jamal managed to win first place in the 400m hurdles race with a time of 51.62 seconds."
