Olivia Rodrigo's Entire Catalog Surges Yet Again
Olivia Rodrigo completed much of her Guts World Tour in 2024, but the singer-songwriter added a few dates around the world this year. She has performed shows connected to her latest worldwide trek in the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Ireland, and most recently England. The Grammy winner also headlined the latest Glastonbury Festival in late June alongside The 1975 and Neil Young, so her fans in the United Kingdom may feel especially connected to her right now – and that may explain why she's doing so well on the charts. Guts Rises on Every Chart Last week, Rodrigo's sophomore album Guts was a top 40 success on all four charts on which it appeared. This frame, it manages that distinction again and even climbs. Guts lands in similar positions on the Official Albums Streaming, Official Albums, Official Albums Sales, and Official Physical Albums charts. This frame, the pop-rock effort sits at Nos. 23, 24, and 27 on the final two tallies, respectively. Guts Reaches 100 Weeks on the Albums Chart This is a big week for Guts, as the set reaches a special milestone. It becomes Rodrigo's latest full-length to spend 100 weeks on both the main ranking of the most consumed albums in the U.K. and the tally that looks specifically at the most-streamed efforts. Guts is Rodrigo's second project to hit that prestigious mark, as her debut Sour reached the same milestone some time ago. Next frame, Guts will likely become a triple-digit charter on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums rankings as well. Sour Manages to Win When It Comes to Streams Sour is not far behind its successor on two lists. On the Official Albums chart, Sour sits just two spots down from Guts, landing at No. 26. Impressively, Sour, the older of the two, beats Guts by a pair of spaces on the Official Albums Streaming ranking, where it settles at No. 21, compared to Guts, which can be found at No. 23. When it comes to pure purchases, however, Guts is the clear winner. The second full-length from Rodrigo is living inside the top 40 while Sour increases from No. 77 on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums tallies to Nos. 73 and 71, respectively.

Black Sabbath's Biggest Hit Surges To New Highs On Multiple Billboard Charts
This week in America, Black Sabbath has four songs on the Billboard charts. All of them appear on multiple tallies, and each one climbs to a new high point on at least one or two lists as consumption of everything connected to the late rocker surges, with listeners celebrating his life and legacy weeks after his death was announced. 'Paranoid' Leads Black Sabbath's Chart Success One tune, "Paranoid," has stood out for decades as Black Sabbath's most famous. This week, it not only appears on the most Billboard tallies, but also reaches never-before-seen peaks on more rankings than any of the group's other singles in what has become a huge frame for the cut. Six New Peaks for 'Paranoid' "Paranoid" lives on half a dozen Billboard charts this week, including some focused on consumption in the U.S., general listening around the world, and streaming activity. The Black Sabbath smash rises to a newly-established high on six charts at once. The tune also keeps at its all-time best placement of No. 5 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales ranking and debuts at No. 43 on the Streaming Songs tally, earning the band its first-ever appearance on that list. Global Rankings Show 'Paranoid' Surging Worldwide Looking worldwide, "Paranoid" jumps to new highs on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. The track debuted just last week, and in its second frame, surges to No. 25 on the all-encompassing ranking and No. 32 on the list that excludes all sales and streaming numbers from American listeners. 'Paranoid' Breaks Into Top 10 on Multiple Rock Charts Looking specifically at America, "Paranoid" jumps into the top 10 for the first time on both the Hot Rock Streaming Songs and Hot Rock & Alternative Songs charts. The Black Sabbath classic pushes from No. 12 to No. 8 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs ranking — the general list of the biggest tunes in those styles in the country — and surges from No. 14 to No. 6 on the roster that focuses only on the most-streamed rock cuts. "Paranoid" also hits new highs on the Hot Rock Songs and Hard Rock Streaming Songs tallies, settling in at Nos. 7 and 3, respectively. Digital Sales Slip as Streaming Drives Momentum In just its second week on two purchase-only rosters, "Paranoid" declines as streaming is keeping the Black Sabbath favorite going. Last week, it debuted on the Digital Song Sales chart at No. 5 and on the Rock Digital Song Sales ranking in the same spot. This frame, it slips one space on the rock-only ranking and three spaces to No. 8 on the all-style list of the bestselling tunes throughout the country. The Legacy of Black Sabbath's 'Paranoid' "Paranoid" was first released in 1970 as the title track from the band's sophomore album, and it became the rocker's breakthrough hit in the U.K. and U.S. More than 50 years later, the single's reinvigorated chart success underscores its role in shaping the sound of heavy metal and its ability to connect with listeners across generations.

Alice Cooper Reaches The Top 10 For The First Time In His Career
Decades into his career, Alice Cooper is still making noise, and his fans are still listening. Over the years, he's released music both as a soloist and as the leader of a band that shares his name. Now, that original group is back together for The Revenge of Alice Cooper, which opens inside the top 10 on multiple Billboard charts and brings the rock icon to a new all-time peak. Alice Cooper's First Top 10 Vinyl Album The Revenge of Alice Cooper launches at No. 6 on the Vinyl Albums chart this week. As the set debuts, it becomes Cooper's first top 10 on the tally. His previous high point was No. 16, which he reached with Paranormal in August 2017. So far, Cooper has sent six titles to the Vinyl Albums ranking throughout his lengthy career. All but one of those sets have reached the top 20, and each has only managed a single frame on the list. Fifth-Highest Vinyl Album Debut of the Week This frame, The Revenge of Alice Cooper earns the fifth-highest debut on the Vinyl Albums chart, coming in behind Snipe Hunter by Tyler Childers (No. 1), Alfredo II by Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist (No. 2), Vanisher, Horizon Scraper by Quadeca (No. 4), and She Hangs Brightly by Mazzy Star (No. 5). It also finishes ahead of other new releases from Michael Clifford of 5 Seconds of Summer and Beck. Alice Cooper Lands on Six Billboard Charts The Revenge of Alice Cooper appears on six Billboard tallies in its opening week, landing inside the top 10 on half of them. Alongside its showing on Vinyl Albums, the title also debuts at No. 6 on the Top Album Sales list and No. 5 on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart. It arrives at No. 14 on the Top Rock Albums ranking, No. 16 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums tally, and No. 72 on the all-genre Billboard 200 — its lowest position of the bunch. According to Luminate, The Revenge of Alice Cooper starts with 13,650 equivalent units, with nearly all coming from pure sales.

AC/DC's Timeless Hit Is Only Getting Bigger
More than three decades after it first dropped, AC/DC's 'Thunderstruck' continues to find new life on the charts all around the world. The hard rock staple is currently climbing, and this week, it does something no other song in the band's discography ever has by rocking higher than ever. "Thunderstruck" Hits New Highs on Billboard's Global Rankings 'Thunderstruck' reaches new highs on both of Billboard's worldwide rankings this week. The track rises from No. 143 to No. 111 on the Billboard Global 200 and improves from No. 151 to No. 134 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. Those positions now stand as the band's peaks on the two tallies. "Thunderstruck" Is AC/DC's Longest-Charting Global Smash As it climbs to new heights, 'Thunderstruck' also hits a new milestone in terms of longevity. The song has now spent 104 weeks — a full two years — on the Billboard Global 200, becoming the first AC/DC release to hit that number on any global chart. No other track in the group's catalog even comes close, as the runner-up, 'Back in Black,' has only managed six frames on the same list. On the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, 'Thunderstruck' is up to 19 total weeks. That's also a record for the band. 'Highway to Hell' comes in second among the band's cuts, with 13 stints. The numbers show that while AC/DC's international fanbase is huge, U.S. listeners — whose activity is counted on the Billboard Global 200 but not on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart — are largely responsible for keeping the song so high. AC/DC's Other Global Hits Don't Compare 'Highway to Hell' ranks as the band's second-highest-rising track on the two tallies. The smash has peaked at No. 142 on the Billboard Global 200 and No. 152 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. That gap makes the success of 'Thunderstruck' all the more impressive. "Thunderstruck" Closes In on 300 Weeks on Hard Rock Chart In the U.S., 'Thunderstruck' continues to find space on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart. It dips slightly this week, falling from No. 6 to No. 8, but extends its run to 270 total weeks on the roster. That makes it one of the longest-charting tracks of all time on any Billboard list, regardless of genre. A Decades-Old Hit That Keeps Getting Bigger Released back in 1990 as the lead single from The Razors Edge, 'Thunderstruck' wasn't able to chart globally in its prime, since Billboard's worldwide lists didn't exist at the time, and wouldn't for decades. More than three decades later, it's proving to be AC/DC's biggest song all over again, and one of the rare rock tracks that keeps getting louder with age.
