Rating:
A rumor that circulated online in late June 2025 claimed that Piers Morgan and Susan Boyle, a Scottish singer who rose to international fame in 2009 after appearing on the reality TV show "Britain's Got Talent," were getting married.
According to the story, the two British celebrities had been secretly dating for years and were now engaged to be married, having decided to go public with their relationship after keeping it private for over a decade. For instance, one Facebook post (archived) shared on June 25, 2025, with the claim reached over 5,900 reactions. It read:

Piers Morgan and Susan Boyle's Secret Romance Comes to Light — And Now They're Getting Married In a twist no one predicted — yet one that feels strangely destined — British broadcaster Piers Morgan and global singing sensation Susan Boyle have revealed they are not only a couple, but engaged to be married. Now, they're ready to step into the spotlight — this time, together.
However, searches of Bing, DuckDuckGo, Google and Yahoo found no news media outlets reporting about Morgan marrying Boyle. Since both are well-known public figures in the UK and internationally, such a development would have been widely covered by reputable news organizations if it were true. The absence of any credible reporting strongly indicates the claim is false. Additionally, Piers Morgan is currently married to journalist Celia Walden. The couple got married in June 2010, and have a daughter together. As of this writing, there have been no credible reports of a separation or divorce.
The claim circulated alongside three images — two of which showed Morgan and Boyle in a church dressed as bride and groom and appeared to be digitally crated. Signs of AI (Artificial Intelligence) featured in the photo included visual inconsistencies such as unnaturally distorted hands, shown in the image below.

Additionally, Boyle was wearing a different wedding dress in each of the two images, further indicating the images were fabricated.

The third image, however, was authentic. It showed Boyle and Morgan standing together in relation to their appearance on the ITV1 show "Piers Morgan's Life Stories." The episode aired in 2010, when Boyle was interviewed about her rapid rise to fame following her "Britain's Got Talent" debut. This photo had been publicly available for over a decade and has appeared in multiple media outlets, including the Daily Record and Daily Mail, as well as ITV's official website.

The origins of the rumor may trace back to Boyle's past comments expressing admiration for Morgan reportedly since 2009. When asked about her past crush on Morgan in a 2019 interview, Boyle responded, she still liked him a bit, adding, "I've grown up a bit."
"I call him Piersy Baby," she said on the Loose Woman program in 2020, adding that her crush on Morgan was probably more of a "smash."
By 2021, Boyle stated that she no longer fancied Morgan, to which Morgan responded writing in an X post, "Crushing. 😢"
Finally, as mentioned earlier, Morgan is married to someone else. In April 2025, his wife shared an Instagram post reading, "When you're married to @piersmorgan," further proving the couple remained together.
