NMC schools post 93.91 pass %, girls top in Arts and Commerce
Nagpur: Muskan Firdous stood first with the highest score of 81.83% among students of all Nagpur Municipal Corporation-run junior colleges. Muskan is a student of Arts stream from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad School.
Nirmal Kailas Mate from Dr Ambedkar Junior College secured the top position in Science stream with 79.67%, while Fiza Mohammad Rizwan Hashmi from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad College topped Commerce stream with 71.83% among NMC schools.
Students from NMC's junior colleges achieved remarkable success in the HSC results. The combined pass percentage for the Science, Commerce, and Arts streams of NMC-run institutes stood at 93.91%.
Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Junior College
recorded a pass percentage of 98.27%, highest among the NMC schools.
Students from the NMC junior colleges performed excellently across all three streams in the HSC exams. Sneha Pimpalkar, a student from Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Junior College, achieved 57.50% in the Science stream in the differently abled category. Nirmal Kailas Mate secured the top position among the backward class category too.
Sane Guruji Urdu Junior College pass percentage stood at 71.42%, Tajabad Urdu Junior College at 94.73%, and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Urdu Junior College at 93.15%.
A total of 128 students from the NMC junior colleges appeared for the HSC exams, with 2 passing with distinction, 13 in the first division, 77 in the second division, and 31 in the third division.
Municipal commissioner Abhijit Chaudhary, along with additional commissioner Vaishnavi B and education officer Sadhana Sayam, congratulated all the successful students from the municipal junior colleges and extended their best wishes for future endeavours. A felicitation ceremony for these outstanding students will be held on Tuesday at the NMC headquarters.
