Townhouse in Wisconsin a complete loss after fire, one firefighter injured from smoke inhalation
NORWAY, Wis. (WFRV) – A townhouse in southern Wisconsin has been rendered a complete loss due to an early morning fire on Tuesday, with one firefighter injured due to inhaling smoke. The Racine County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies and local fire crews responded to a reported house fire in the 7000 block of Ashwood Lane in Norway around 3 a.m. on Tuesday. Residents on one side were accounted for and outside, but could not yet confirm if the other side had people inside. The Waterford Fire Department's crews went in, and deputies searched the interior, confirming nobody inside. The fire spread throughout the attic and the entire top floor, as traffic was shut down. The fire was put out shortly after 5 a.m., with one firefighter hospitalized for smoke inhalation. BREAKING: Massive fire at Neenah Foundry, crews actively responding to scene
NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) – The fire at the Neenah Foundry is still an active situation, with crews on the scene for response efforts. Initial photos show heavy amounts of black smoke and flames from the building. The Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue told Local 5 that the initial calls and dispatch were around 8:38 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, and that a Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) was requested; however, officials could not provide more details. Department of Natural Resources warning Wisconsinites over statewide Air Quality Advisory due to Canadian wildfire smoke The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office confirmed the fire as well, but couldn't provide more information. As of 10:02 p.m., Local 5 has not spoken with any firefighters on the scene, as the scene is active. Water is still being sprayed at the scene as crews attempt to clear the flames and smoke. Numerous crews dispatched to clear fully engulfed Wisconsin house fire, cause under investigaton
UNION GROVE, Wis. (WFRV) – Numerous agencies were deployed to the scene of a house fire that fully engulfed a home in Wisconsin on Thursday night. Kansasville Fire and Rescue Department and Raymond Fire and Rescue Department Crews were dispatched together as auto-aid for Union Grove-Yorkville Fire Department shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Thursday for a reported fire on 11th Avenue in Union Grove. Wisconsin man arrested in southern Chicago suburb, officials seize ghost gun & numerous narcotics Multiple Kansasville Units responded to assist Raymond and Union Grove-Yorkville crews in suppressing the fire that fully engulfed the home. Additional resources had to be requested through the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System. The following crews joined to support: South Shore Fire Department Somers Fire and Rescue Department Burlington Fire Department In addition to the fire suppression efforts, the Racine Fire Belles joined to provide rehab for responders and WE Energies crews arrived to address electrical power and natural gas services in the area. Union Grove's Department of Public Works helped spread salt due to the ice conditions. The Burlington Fire Department and Paris Fire Rescue Department provided a change of quarters coverage as well. Racine County Sheriff's Office officials helped maintain safety on the scene while controlling who could access the area for the fire suppression efforts. Fond du Lac County residents jump from second story during fire that killed roughly 11 pets The fire crews cleared the scene around 10:30 p.m., however, the area is still closed as Racine County Fire Investigation Taskforce officials and County Sheriff's investigators look into the situation.
