Everything you need to know about what's new at Target Field in 2025

From a new concession layout to enhanced entrances, Target Field will be unveiling multiple upgrades during the Twins' home opener on Thursday. The point of sale systems have also been upgraded at all concessions and premium seating locations to the MyVenue system. "MyVenue is a fast, intuitive and user-friendly technology that allows fans throughout Target Field to quickly and easily make their food and beverage purchases," the Twins said in a news release. Fans will also be able to get into the game faster as the Twins debut the MLB Go-Ahead Entry at Target Field. It is an optional ticket validation system that uses facial recognition. The process works even for fans with glasses, masks, hats and face paint. Fans can register for the program via the MLB Ballpark app, then walk directly into Target Field without stopping to scan tickets. If you're coming in a group, the app knows how many tickets you've got, meaning only one person in the group needs to register and no one else needs to scan. Go-Ahead Entry is available through a designated lane at gates 3, 6, 29 and 34. The Twins modernized one of its concession areas at sections 105 and 109, replacing the traditional "belly-up" model for food stands with open-air, self-serve market concepts. With over 4,000 square feet of renovated spaces, the Twins say the new layouts provide fans with a quicker, more efficient and more convenient way to grab food and drinks, including traditional ballpark favorites. Target Field will also be offering over a dozen new food and drink options this season in addition to classic ballpark favorites. Here's the full list of new food and drink offerings: Cellular network coverage is also set to be expanded at Target Field through a new partnership with American Tower. The Twins say once upgrades are completed, coverage will be expanded by 82% and 5G will be available for all three major mobile network carriers. Work on the cellular network began in January and is expected to be done in September. Adam Duxter contributed to this report.
